I have never liked the stuff. Molly, it sends shivers... brrrrrrrrr.

Manxie, very enlightening about farmed fishing, but I was under the impression that in the North Sea we had set up no-fish zones to allow the likes of cod, whiting, haddock and skate to recover, along with help from land based larval tanks to give them a start in life before being put back to sea.

Too little, too late, let's hope not.

I got it from my dad, he would always add a bit of vinegar. Not if it was in a salad, but for a sandwich.
Think it's a regional thing, but he wasn't too far from you, he was from Notts.

Also cut through the batter on fish from the chippy and drip some vinegar on the fish :)
I think he had vinegar on his chips but I hate that.

I-ve never eaten it Di / but it-s fish and I need to lower the colesterol by eating salmon etc. Hence me buying it. And grumpy likes it.

But a change of plan / we went down to the bar and Gez turned up, as did Mitch and Steve so numerous beers were consumed   So we are now having burgers and chips

I have cucumber, but I'll have to peel it - the Portuguese cucumber is very thick skinned

Well yes I do, but it's not something you can disguise, if you really don't like it then don't eat it!

Quite!

You do not 'have' to eat salmon.
Have you tried fresh tuna, brushed with olive oil and garlic then bbq'd?

Otherwise, just eat more chicken and veggie meals.
The fish alone will not lower your cholesterol anyway, whereas oats do.

My mum used to make tinned salmon sandwiches - like Di she mashed it with vinegar and a little black pepper, then sliced cucumber :) She did the same with tinned tuna, which I actually preferred ;)

We had fish fingers the other night and I can also get salmon fishfingers. Happy to eat tinned tuna, do a mean tuna salada, but the fresh tune we get up here is normally frozen.

However, tonight, I did the fresh salmon - only took me about 6 weeks        And actually, it wasn't too bad at all

So thanks to Kaz for the recipe, we'll be doing it again :D :D
