Something nice has happened

Postby Osc » 27 Feb 2013, 22:59

We go to a sequence dance class every week, and Mr. Osc videos our teachers doing the dance we learn, and then puts it on our ballroom forum, so that everyone can work on it during the week. He enjoys doing it and everyone always says it is really helpful, we are often surprised by the people who come up to us at socials and say they have enjoyed looking and learning.

Our teachers Noel and Angie are involved in the organisation of a dance weekend at a hotel here in Ireland in June, and as it is more or less within driving distance of home, we had said we would go for the black tie do on the Saturday night and then come home rather than stay over, because we have a few things on in June and we need to budget for them. Tonight our teachers have asked us to go to the Saturday night dance and stay the night as their guests as a present for all we do for them - now we don't feel we do anything in particular, and we just consider we are doing something for our friends, but they say they really appreciate it. I''m thrilled because I think it's a very nice thing for them to do. We will of course give the event the normal coverage on our forum that we would give anyway, with photos and videos as usual.

This is the video that Mr. Osc took last week just to give you an idea...

Oh how lovely of them Osc :)
And it just goes to show doesn't it, do something you really enjoy and it doesn't seem like work. But it obviously is something more to them, and so nice that they appreciate it :)

I know you love your dancing and nothing in it feels like a chore, Osc, but obviously you and your husband give a lot of yourselves, to help out, and it's nice of your teachers to recognise this and give you both a treat as a thank you.
Enjoy your weekend when it comes :)
