Senior moment

Postby cromwell » 18 Apr 2017, 16:17

Today my wife and I went up to walk our daughter's dog. I dropped her at the house and then went for a paper before driving back. I parked my car on the drive, got out and tried the front door - locked. Good move by MrsC thinks I, you can't be too careful. I pressed my nose against the glass of the front door; the kitchen door was shut I could see, so they are obviously in the back garden.
Went round to the side gate and let myself through.
There is a door in the side of the house.
My daughter's house has the door round the back.
This is the wrong house...

Jump back into the car, reverse out and then drive about two yards up the road and turn into the correct drive...

Honestly, why do they make all these houses look the same?*

I thought you were going to say that you bought the paper and then drove 'home' home.

I know someone who has done something similar. ;)

I have been known to stand next to the wrong car in the car park, wondering why on earth I can't get the key in the door ....
