Good afternoon! It is more than chilly down here today, a very stiff breeze, and I think I shall have to bring the plants we bought yesterday in overnight.

Just got back from town, having renewed the road fund licence, and bought a small rough stone planter for 50p at the florists in their rummage sale; it'll take a single trailing aubrietia and could be used as a "conversation piece" (along the lines of " I let him out by himself and he comes back with something like that, dear oh dear ....")

Filled up the bird bath for the third time this week. The formula seems to be ...... [1 full bird bath + 1 large crow in need of wash 'n brush-up = 1 empty bird bath] ....

Mallard Central on the river by us; no less than five spotted down by the bridge, previously I thought we had just a single pair on our stretch.

Enjoy the rest of your day, folks, but wrap up if you're going out ...

Afternoon :)
Rather nice here, contrary to the forecast. It's mostly sunny so far, but yes the wind has a high chill factor!

Jo I hope she didn't wave goodbye saying 'see you soon'
Kaz hope your boiler's fixed, we are so reliant on them aren't we!
Glad you're feeling better Ton :)
Yes Osc Happy Tickers :Hi:

Oh Jo remembered of course it's Good Friday so no craft this week - I might get round to it :)

I walked down the lane to collect my drugs and remembered to wear my pedometer (I keep forgetting!); it was a bit further than I thought, 2700 steps. Not very far but it all adds up :)
Hope your days are all going well

Oh dear.

Back from shopping, with lots of discounted goodies.

But then the solar man came and we're going to need new batteries    Well, they are 15 years old. No idea of the cost, he's going to let us know and also some different ideas about what to use the solar panels for.

So I think it's going to be a major cost and we'll just have to think again.

I have a service contract for mine as well - wouldn't want to be without.

Well, not quite but she did phone John in the afternoon and told him what a lovely time she'd had....(and then she called him again in the evening).
If there are no funerals for her to attend in the meantime then she's usually back Sept/Oct.

Of course :D
The one we used as a marker when Minnie was first able to walk again, we celebrated when she got as far as Andy's - it's just round the corner :D

Ooh yes, actually Andy and 10 mates are mopedding across some of Europe in the summer, to raise money for cancer research. They're in the local paper this week, we bought it specially :)
One of his sons is doing it too :)
