What a way to celebrate

Postby lissie » 01 Dec 2012, 13:34

Everything was going well--flowers arrived from OH and then from son and dil--really beautiful :D
Went into yard and there was a stench and liquid coming from drain cover.
Told OH and he lifted cover and it was blocked to the brim with you can quess
He has his own set of drain rods so for the last two hours i have been helping him clear the blockage :(
People have walked by looking and sniffing and we pretended it was`nt anything to do with us.
The drains are now squeaky clean and smelling of disinfectant and bleach :D
No one else in the road ever seems to have this problem unless they just ignore it.
At least it has tested OH out after having the stent fitted as he was`nt a bit out of breath :D

I did`nt expect to celebrate our 56th anniversary like this

Oh dear Lissie - definitely not the way to be celebrating your anniversary.

I think as a reward for work well done you should treat yourselves to a lovely dinner out :)

So Mr & Mrs Lissie have carried out a sort of drains angiogram by way of celebration.

Unique - a definite one-off.

A meal out - with cutlery - sounds in order. ;) :P

Oh Lissie and so cold too. I would have called the Drain Doctor and got as far away as possible. Great news about the stent though.
