Good Morning all---it is a lovely day again although a bit colder.
I would love to jump in the car and go down to Hastings and Bexhill but since
that lorry hit us and wrote my car off two years ago my confidence has taken
a battering. I am quite happy driving short distances. I suppose my age is a lot
to do with it as well.:(
My bit of string goes as far as Canterbury, Sittingbourne or Ashford.:)

Morning all,

Another bright and sunny day. The nights are cold because the skies are totally clear all night, but the days are lovely 25C to 28C which is the best spring temps I've seen here in our 15 years.

For me it's another day of riddling earth into the new breeze block beds and, if time allows, moving the remaining mount of earth back 10 feet and digging out the founds for the second last bed. If I'm really lucky (or work hard enough), I'll get the founds made and ready for laying more blocks on Thursday.

Lissie, Mrs S was involved in a horrible accident where a child ran out from behind a bus right in front of her. One of the police officers attending made her drive up and down the road and all the way home until she was comfortable driving again. She swears she would never have got behind the wheel of a car again if he hadn't done that. Her advice (not mine), is that when your confidence is battered like that, fight it and keep doing it till you get over it.

Mrs S is older than me, has a significant birthday this year and she has continued to follow her own advice. She tows the trailer, horse boxes for her sister, used to tow the caravan when we had that and fully intends to drive the old campervan we have in the garage. When I find a few days in a row to work on it.

Have a great day all, I intend to get burnt even browner than I am already..

It seems a lot warmer where Ally and Suff are than it is here! Never mind, it is spring and all the new greenery and growth makes you feel all cheerful.
Not much on today, might have a mooch round the shops.

Morning everyone

Rather pleasant here - birds twittering, Molly squeaking and now we have the cement mixer on

My head feels clearer than yesterday but not a lot of energy. So I'll wander down to the veg plot later and pick some peas, blanch and then into the freezer. Also some of the onions need pulling and tying up.

Tuna mayo jacket potato for dinner, that's about all I can summon up the energy for

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Morning all

Cromwell, same here in London - the evenings and mornings still are quite chilly, but then the days warm up a bit which is nice

Suff, what a good man that policeman was - not many who would have done that for someone else; what a horrid experience though for Mrs S :( Lissie, why don't you try it... look at a map and find a half way place where you can stop for coffee. If you feel OK then carry on, if not then go back home; and each time try just that bit further. You don't have to do it all in one go.

Ally enjoy the lunch; nice to be treated :)
Jan take it easy and get better soon. Jacket potato sounds like a perfectly good dinner to me - enjoy it

usual / usual for me

have a lovely day everyone

Morning all :)
Another lovely day, we are being so lucky with the weather at the moment :)
Washing machine has just beeped at me, still not used to just how short some of the programmes are!

Bits and pieces for me to sort out today, the body shop hasn't phoned back to arrange repairing my car for a start...
Take it easy Ton x
Lissie it is hard but at least you're still able to get out and about.
Ally have fun - again :D

Good morning all, it's sunny here but there's a chilly wind.

Had a lovely long walk with Billy. Everywhere is looking so fresh and green now and I noticed that the ferns are making an appearance. The bilberry bushes are full of flowers so hopefully there'll be a lot of berries in the Summer.

Hope you're feeling better soon Jan xx

Di, how was the craft class last week?

Suff, what a horrible accident your wife had. Really good of the policeman to advise her like that.

Sounds like another great day Ally!

Morning all, another lovely bright day here although it does seem cooler than yesterday. I am so efficient today that I had the bedclothes off the bed and in the washing machine before breakfast and am just about to hang them on the line to take advantage of the sunshine. Nothing much else planned, certainly a walk and whatever else comes to mind. Mr Osc has gone to play golf.

Lissie, that's a great suggestion from Ria - it is very understandable that your accident would have affected your confidence. I find it more difficult to drive as I get older, particularly at night, and thanks to our free travel sometimes the car is only used twice a week. Still need it though.

Good morning all.

It's a lovely day here, with blue skies and sunshine.
We are getting ready for the arrival this afternoon of my niece and her family from the USA.
I am so excited.

Hope you all enjoy this lovely Spring weather.
