Next door's house

This is it

Ours is the one attached on the left.

Now, it's exactly the same as our, but. She has the lean-to - sorry, utility room - built on the back, making her garden very small indeed but obviously adding good space.
The kitchen looks far bigger than it really is; also she has no door from kitchen to dining end of l/room. So you have to go from kitchen, up the hall and into the other end of the l/room with food to put on the table :?

She also has high-class decor.
She is the only one living there, so no clutter at all.
Added to which, she's actually not even there very much, so it's not exactly lived-in.

The last one we saw sold went for £270k I think, but that one is slightly bigger and has it's own garage attached, whereas ours are in a block at the end of the road. The ones like ours have been more like £250-ish.

I think she's having a giraffe but we shall see.

It looks nice..absolutely immaculate. :D :D

I'm totally out of the loop re UK house prices but that seems a high asking price?

Hope you get nice new neighbours when it sells.

It'll be very interesting to see how that goes Di. It's a lovely house, the lean to is much nicer inside than it looks on the outside. I'd find the kitchen very annoying to use though with the lack of a door through to the dining room.
I do like the flooring that she's got.

It's a very expensive area Ally, you don't get a lot for your money.

When we bought ours it took over a year of looking, but we got a bargain.
These houses were built in 1978, and we got one of the last to have not been updated.
So, old kitchen with greasy wooden louvre doors, primrose bathroom and cloakroom suites, no d/glazing, etc...
It's all updated but looks nothing like as glamorous as Pauline's  - but then we're not selling ;)

That's a ridiculous layout not having a door from the kitchen to the dining room. Rather than go up the hall and through the lounge it'd be easier to go out the utility room and through the garden

It was taken out by whoever had it before.
I'd have put it back again :)

I agree re the door to the dining area - odd that she didn't put it back in given she's got a utility room and could easily sacrifice the cupboard space

Jo, agree, that flooring is stunning. And I love the two rugs she has (well runner in the hallway)

Ah yes, the Indian silk rug in the l/room.
That's the one Bb and neighbour John between them spilt a glassful of red wine over, the other Christmas eve  :D

All very lovely, but I agree that it doesn't look at all homely, no personality there ;)

That kitchen/ dining room set up is crackers!
