I don't think Ria works near there so hopefully all is well for all VV members, but a horrific incident with at least one woman dead :(

She doesn't work that far away Kaz. Not sure if it will affect her journey home

I think she works on the Embankment somewhere?

It's horrific, the only words I have are swear words so I'll refrain...but my thoughts are with those caught up in this. So very sad :(

I'm really surprised it hasent happened before now so sad when you think of all the big state occasions we do here in Britain we've been lucky so far if that's the right word

I know Saundra, it's just been a matter of time really hasn't it :(

Just how can these kind of attacks be stopped though? Vehicles seem to be the weapon of choice lately :?

When they blew the airport in Brussels I was very thankful that I was taking the train at that time. When they attacked the terrorists 500m from my work, we could see the operation from the 12th floor of the building. But we were safe.

In this kind of attack I think Ria will be OK, she's sensible and will be careful on the way home.

But I would like to know that you got home safe Ria.

There is one way. But we'd never ever do it. Trump style travel ban and US WWII style internment camps, or a choice to leave the UK forever, for all UK citizens who might be a threat.

Not very palatable is it? So we have to put up with the terrorism. Just as we did with the IRA.

There is one other way but that tends only to occur to the military mind..
