and how is Millie?

She's got diaorhea now!!!

She's had it all day - not massive amounts (she is pooing the same number of times as usual but it is terribly sloppy).

She is fine in herself, although has been a little clingy. She is drinking more and has turned her nose up at food a couple of times but has still had over a tin of her food.

Not sure why although she came out of the kitchen last night licking her lips and all we could find that she may have eaten was some vegetable oil in a frying pan. It couldn't have been much if it was that though. She had had some small pieces of cooked lamb at tea time but other than that nothing out of the ordinary.

I will keep her on eggs and rice tomorrow and ring the vet Monday if she still has it.

If it's not one thing it's another!

Oh dear Debih :(
Minnie has had the plops a few times, not surprising as we've been told to get more protein in her so have been trying things.
Eggs definitely gave her the runs, also I think the chicken livers, just too rich.

I've been buying Tesco value frozen fish fillets, it's pollock, £2 for a bag of at least 6 fillets. They cook in exactly the same time as white rice so you can put rice and a fillet in a saucepan with water, bring to the boil and cook 10 mins or so, then mush it all together, remaining water and all.
Lamb should be fine, so can't help with why :? It's also quite cheap to buy a whole chicken, poach it, then whizz the meat with cooking liquid and add cooked rice. I'm sure you know that, just thinking aloud. Maybe try adding oats as well as or instead of rice?

It wouldn't take a lot of vegetable oil to give her the runs though Deb, take it from me (I was poisoned by atora suet when Mr Shell made dumplings) fat is potent stuff

Hopefully it will work it's way through quickly.

Ordinarily we would starve her for 24 hours but as she ate nothing on Monday and little on Tuesday I am loathe to do that. So I shall stick to tiny meals of rice for tomorrow and if she still has it Monday will ring the vet.

At least one her medicines is for settling her tummy so that should help too.

Same problem here Debih, she'd left it all over the garden last night  And also can't not feed her.
I've given her just the dry food this morning then made porridge for youngest and realised that wasn't a bad idea, so she's just had a small bowl of that (it's made with water) with a little spoon of yoghurt.
Hope Millie's ok.

Hmm oil AND lamb? Lamb is quite a fatty meat, even if there is no obvious fat on it....probably a combo of the two Debih :(

I must be such a tough cookie - if Smudge has the runs, he gets a 24 hour starve, no matter what, although I appreciate your two babies are poorly ones to begin with

Hope she picks up soon xx

Minnie's not allowed to not eat Gal so it's a question of damage limitation :?
Hopefully just the dry food and oats should do the trick.

That doesn't sound great for Minnie Di.

Millie still has diarohea but it doesn't seem as bad today. She has only pood twice. She was sick earlier for no reason though. She is fine in herself but has now taken a dislike to the rugby (radio and tv) and goes all shaky when Mick puts it on. I have put a new Adaptil collar on her to see if it chills her out a bit. But she bs being very clingy.

She has had some yoghurt and some plain boiled rice and is drinking lots. She was very bouncy when I took her out along the canal this morning though.

Gal, normally I would starve her if she was sick/diarohea but I am reluctant to do it whilst she is already ill. If the whole stricture thing wasn't happening I wouldn't be at all worried about her but it's just something else on top of so many other things.

Oh and this morning I discovered a sore on one side of her mouth. Mick wonders if it is where he puts the syringe for her medicine. I hope so and that it isn't another problem.

I will wait til Tuesday now before I contact the vet as I know Dan is in then and I don't really want to see anyone else, unless she gets worse and I have no choice.
