Damn!

Postby Workingman » 01 Dec 2012, 11:40

I put a load of washing on when I got up - coloureds at 60°C.

The load just finished and I discoverd that a white cotton Polo shirt had sneaked in.

I now have a muddy pinky purpleish bluey greeny short sleeved cotton mess.

Fashion colour is sure isn't.... and it goes with nothing else in my wardrobe!

Dye it a darker colour. I dyed two pairs of black joggers which had gone a bit dusty grey, as they do, and they came up like new.

Good thinking Batwoman. :D

I have one or two black tops that are not worn but are no longer true black. Another black top would not hurt. 8-)

Chuck them all in the washing machine together. One box of machine dye will do for about 600 grams - plenty for four t-shirts.

I used a washing machine dye to dye a pair of black jeans. It took forever to get it off the rubber seal and my washing machine has had a horrible smell ever since. I wouldn't use it again

Was it a Dylon dye you used Miasmum? I've used it quite a few times with no trouble at all. The only colour I've used is black.
