Good morning!

No snow yet so I'll take Billy as soon as it's light enough. Joe's at work with John today. Food shopping tonight.

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)

Ally you'll have a stomach like a washboard by the end of this :D 8-)

Jo, no snow here either, thank goodness!

Housey stuff to get on with here today, as I've been out for most of the day, every day so far this week! No ironing thankfully, as with my new steam generator I've been clearing it in no time, as soon as I have it :cute: Floors need steaming though, and I need to hoover and put a towel wash on. We do need a few food bits as well, as I didn't get the chance to do a big food shop last weekend. B will come and help me with that. So plenty to keep me out of mischief   Oh and pilates tonight!

Have a good day everyone, stay safe and warm if you get the snow xxxx

Morning everyone

A lovely sunny but chilly morning 8-)

I'm off for a blood test soon, then I'll do the weeks shopping. Grumpy will be finishing off the car port main structure. He's like a little kid, with all that wood to play with

Back to more weeding

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing and keep warm and safe over there x

Good morning
Have been to Asda to miss the school run.
It is raining. We may miss the snow which is forecast.
Taking my computer for some TLC. Have a couple of small problems which I cannot fix.
Then to the bank and main Post Office. We have to renew our pass ports this year and can only get the forms at one of the big ones.
Have a good day everybody

Morning all :D

Clear and dry here at the moment, but heavy rain's forecast later today.

Set the alarm this morning.........definitely a shock to my system :o  Want to get out reasonably early for the weekly shop as I'm off out for afternoon tea with the ladies at 3pm. We've been to The Yarrow before and it was very good so when we saw they were doing a Black Friday deal for use in January, just £10 a head, we jumped at it. 25 of us today. I've not been to coffee since before Christmas so it will be nice to catch up.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all

they're only expecting snow later this afternoon / evening for us apparently - just hope it holds off until I'm on a train homewards bound. But it does make me laugh - the way the local radio station is going on about it, you'd swear we're actually living in the Caribbean and we've never had snow before. Seriously, this is the UK, it's winter and therefore snow is actually not all that unusual! Does my head in :P

Well usual work day for me - I've been able to leave early the past two days but our receptionist has called in sick today so normal work day for me (snow and train dependent obviously - the first snow flake I'm out of here because South West Trains will come to a grinding halt!). And then quiet evening at home and early to bed again. I'm feeling tons better but this cough is driving me batty; and it's quite exhausting.

Good luck to you all with your respective food shops - I did a small one yesterday and typically forgot a few things. Will pop into Waitrose on the way home to pick those up.
Jen, that does sound a bargain; enjoy the afternoon
Ton good luck with the blood tests
Everyone else have a lovely day pootling about x

Have a good time Jen :)

((((Ria)))) these bugs do hang around sometimes, take care. Are you taking anything for the nighttime cough? Vicks ointment on the soles of the feet, under warm socks, is supposedly a good remedy. Might be worth a try!

Cruiser, I renewed Mick's and Harry's passports online for them. Pretty straightforward :)

Good luck with the blood test Ton xx

Snow? I don't like the sound of that!

Anyway, it's no longer blowing a gale here thank goodness. Not much on today but someone has to be in for a man coming to fix our dryer, which apparently is one of the ones that could burst into flames (not that it has ever shown any signs of doing so).

Have a good day all.

I'm sleeping really well at night Kaz, I do have a night time cough medicine that I'm taking but I think even without that I'd be lights out. It's during the day that I'm struggling; but It's just one of these things that needs to run it's course and in the meantime lots and lots of fluids. But I have heard about the Vicks on the soles of the feet thing a few times so may just give that a go, if for no other reason that to see what happens :D Can't harm after all
