Afternoon :)
Another murky, foggy dull, damp day here, sigh...

You poor thing Saundra, constant coughing is exhausting as well as painful (((xx)))

We've defrosted the freezer, it was so full of ice it was hard to see what was in it   I knew we'd run it down well, but the top drawer is now empty  :D
Obviously we need some supplies ;) but my resolution for January - to be continued through the year - is to shop and cook more efficiently. We often end up with too much meat in the freezer as we really don't eat a lot of it, so I shall definitely be buying less.
We have left two rather huge pork chops out for dinner, and they were a w/rose bargain bought only last week, so that's ok.
Then at the moment on the meat front, there is one pack of diced braising steak and one of pork mince; plus some ham and chorizo.
We're off shopping after lunch and will get some chicken breasts and wings - both currently half price at w/rose ;)
Hope you're all managing to enjoy the day
x
Ps seen your post now Osc, how exciting, do have a fabulous time :Hi:

Good afternoon all.

It's dull but dry here. We went into town this morning to do a bit of shopping, but instead of walking down
and coming back up on the bus, we did the opposite. We were surprised what a difference it made walking
back uphill. We both have leg muscles aching that haven't ached for years! We've now decided that we will
do it that way every time in future, as it's obviously done us good. We're gluttons for punishment!

Hope you are all fine.

Afternoon everyone :)

Our visitors have just left, we had a lovely time. Yesterday afternoon we went into the city to show my nephew's girlfriend the cathedral - she is Australian and has only just moved here to be with him, and she was blown away by the history :) I think we take a lot of our heritage here for granted 8-) I also showed them The New Inn where Lady Jane Grey was proclaimed queen, and The Tailor of Gloucester's house (she is a Beatrix Potter fan) :)

Last night we had a great meal out, we sat and talked, ate and drank for hours! It was lovely to catch up with family, and get to know Hollye a bit. She and my nephew are quite serious, and are looking for a place to live together, and she has found a job here, so she might well be my niece one day :)

Some quiet time now, Mick has left with Harry and I'm defrosting some gammon for dinner later :D
