Morning all :)

Safe travels to Conor, Ally :)

Good luck Di! xx

I have to pack as last minute as possible these days otherwise a certain little black dog gets neurotic on us  I couldn't leave it as close to the wire as John though Jo :?

Well it's a beautiful frosty day here. My friend Alison texted me yesterday and we're meeting for a cuppa in town, then I'll pop in to see D on my way home. Pilates tonight :)

Have a good day everyone :)

For those that don't know - Jacob sent me a pic from the plane last year on one of his visits over and I could see an M&S bag. When he walked into arrivals that's all he was carrying!

It contained 'everything' he needed for the week he was here!

Luckily he still has clobber here and it was summer so he didn't need much in the way of clothes.

A campero is like a flattened baguette (but slightly softer) round in shape about the size of a tea plate and lightly toasted. Inside they put chicken, salad, tomatoes, red onion, jalapenos...anything you want. That and a big portion of chips. Yummy. :D :D :D

Good luck Di xx

I packed for myself on the afternoon before we went, I usually put the cases in the spare room a week or so before a holiday and start putting things in as and when but John's Mom was using it for the week before so I couldn't do that this time and I didn't want to be falling over piles of clothes and cases in our room.

I'm a bit like you Ria, I don't actually start packing until the day before but always write out a list before I start, clean knickers are a must

Yummy, yummy :D

Another lazy start for us, we're still having brekkie, off to do the weekly shop when we've finished.

Hope you all have a good day :D

I'm hungry and just had rice cake with peanut butter to see me through to lunch time - but oh my..... that campero sounds amazing and I'd kill for one of those  ! My vegetable soup for lunch isn't going to be anywhere near adequate after reading that!

Really do love the sound of a campero. I'm just about to have a very nice salad though.

Afternoon, Thursday=children. Kellie is supposed to be asleep but I can hear her chatting away to herself and the dolls.I brought Michael to a bowling Birthday party and will be going out shortly to collect him. It is a dull day but not too cold.

I am an ultra organised packer, planning from over a week before we travel, piling up what we want to take in the spare room then the actual packing only takes a short time. I have got very good in recent years at cutting down on the amount of clothes we take and am an expert on packing for hand baggage only too ;)

I need practice on the hand luggage only Osc.
Seems to me the only answer is more short holidays, since practice makes perfect :D
