This started tonight and I'm enjoying watching different people tackle different ways of dieting.

Interesting about the chewing.
When I went to the talk/workshop on naturopathy it was something she stressed was important, you must chew until food is chime, i.e. pulp, ready to be digested.

I've never thought about chewing before (you don't though, do you! ) and as I was eating a pear after this programme I counted my chews. After 17 chomps there was nothing left!

I watched on +1 too, and found it very interesting. Was pleased to see the guy on WW do so well :)

We all know that any diet, or preferably healthy eating plan, entails eating less and moving more, but finding a sustainable way to achieve this, that suits you, isn't that easy

It was on last year as well and it just covered old ground, but it was good old ground.

There were a couple of 'themes' last year and they appear to have continued.
1. If you want to crash/fad diet to lose weight for a purpose - wedding or holiday - it's OK, just don't expect it to stay of.
2. If you want to lose weight and stabilise it you are going to have to change some habits, make big changes and then stick to them.

The brothers who lost about 2st each were doing it at the rate of 3lbs/wk. Seems like something I could do... and do with.

A couple of pounds a week is a sensible rate to go for, they both did really well :)
