I am soooo lucky to have a job I absolutely adore, that is really challenging and keeps my brain alert!
The fact I live just 10 minutes walk away is a bonus.
We had our Christmas night out this evening and went to the local pizza restaurant. The food is great and we did secret Santa....someone knows me very well and had bought me tubes of Smarties, fruit pastilles, jelly beans and Tooty Fruities!
The rule is 5 euros per gift....I bought Finn a bottle of gin, 6 bottles of tonic water and a lemon (from my garden!) I wrapped them all up and stuck a number 1 sticker on the gin, a number 2 sticker on the tonic and a 3 on the lemon. There was great hilarity as she was opening them.
Little speech by boss lady Liz to thank us all for our hard work this term and for the second year running I was awarded a certificate of merit for my exemplary work. (we need the blushing smiley!!!) Very embarrassing but I was very touched to be regarded so highly by my colleagues.
Earlier in the day I was paid and got a 200 euro bonus!!
I have homework club 4.30 - 6.30 tomorrow and that's me until term starts again on January 9th.
I'm so glad I answered that advert in the paper in May 2014.
