Morning all :)

Safe flight to Ally and Ria, hope you both enjoy time with your families.

We spent yesterday afternoon decorating our tree, it's massive, E had to get the steps out to reach the top :x It's lovely :D :D :D

Off out to do the weekly shop shortly, also need to get a couple more pressies. Eldest daughter's brood have asked for vouchers this year so easy peasy, just a few other little bits to get and then I'm done.

Hope you all have a good day :)

Morning :)
Dark and dull and horrible here...I preferred it freezing cold and bright :D

It's the only day this week I don't have any appointments so I made the most of it and had a lie-in all the way till 8 o'clock :)
Some washing is doing, and it's the last art before Christmas tomorrow (I think!) so I might make some biscuits to take in, or then again I might not :D :?
I did buy Christmas cards yesterday, so that's a start :D
Also bought some M&S truffles for a friend, not for Christmas, she just needed cheering up, and she texted last night to say they're scrumptious so I think I should get us some as well, especially as they're half price at the moment ;)

Have a fab time Ally and Ria :)

And another change of plan.

This time Torkiel has the cold going the rounds and is bed-ridden

We're going to try again next week 8-)

Afternoon!

Had lots to do today, timing had to be spot on as I had a hair appointment at 3.15 and meeting Jan and Anne from work at lunchtime.....I left the house at 10.15 drove around for an hour in the pouring rain, dodgning flooded roads as I drove, got some much needed petrol and was back in the house before 11! The roads were pretty bad and it was still tipping down.....I didn't HAVE to go out, so I didn't get any shopping at all!

As soon as the grls went back to work after lunch I headed straight for the shops (the rain had stopped and the sun had come out!) and I bagged a couple of bargains....got Lily a dolly's buggy to go with the dolly I got for her the other week, some sweets for Mum (I'll also buy her some perfume) and some other bits, and I'm just back from the hairdressers - shorted and bouncier!

Still have EVERYTHING to do, decs to put up, cards to write, pressies to wrap.......but not yet.

I'll be grocery shopping tomorrow and then we'll see what happens next ....

Safe trip Ally and Ria!

Sounds awful up there Gal, has it stopped now? We had some light rain first thing but it's been beautiful and Spring-like since mid morning.

I've cancelled my Christmas hair appointment for Saturday. When it was short it needed doing every three or four weeks but now it's grown a bit it doesn't need it so I felt like I was going just for the sake of getting it trimmed before Christmas when it didn't really need it.

Di, did you make your bikkies? I've been 'roped in' again to take in some of my low pointed apple and mincemeat filo parcels to the last WW meeting on the 19th ;) I don't really mind a bit, it's nice to have them appreciated and they are becoming a tradition now, with this being my third Christmas there  :D I bought some of those M&S truffles, for my inlaws :)

Gal take care up there, the weather looks dreadful :( I have bought everything now, but am still writing out my cards (determined to finish them tonight, after Pilates!) and nothing is wrapped. I had one of those memory posts come up on my FB timeline froma few years back, with my tree looking fab and the room all Christmassy   I need to get my bum into gear :x

Evening Saundra :D :D

Jo I could do with a trim before Christmas, must try and fit it in

Kaz, I really must try making the filo mince pie this year! Finding filo pastry has been my problem the last two years.

I didn't Kaz, I realised it may not be sensible, it's very popular now the art class, and all those crumbs in the paint, plus there's hardly any table space.
Also, they make fabulous cakes there to sell per slice, so it did seem such a good idea really :o
I bet they look forward to your mincemeat parcels, I would :)

Still seems a bit early to me for the tree and everything, would hate to get fed up with it before Christmas :)
