Good morning.

I'm up at 7 to shower and then pack for our UK visit. I mentally know what clothes I'm taking..I just need to gather them all up and put them in a case.

Our flight is at 11.45 and Jackie is meeting us at Birmingham airport. We're going to Nottingham on Saturday till Sunday afternoon. Then back to Birmingham and flying home 10.30 am Monday. I can't wait to see my family and friends.

Good morning all!
Off to the gym shortly. Tom's appeared overnight. He had the McDonalds Christmas party at Pryzm in Birmingham last night. He'd said at the weekend that he wasn't sure what time it was finishing, if it was early enough he'd get the train back to Wolverhampton otherwise he'd come back with the others on the bus they'd supplied and stay here. No idea what time he came in but I went down to get a drink at 3 and he certainly wasn't there then

Joe's got a full day at college. He phoned me yesterday and said he'd be late home as he was helping at the open evening so it was 8.30pm by the time he got in, nearly 13 hours after he'd gone out, so he had a sandwich and some hot chocolate and promptly fell asleep!

Well it's a very dark morning here, still feels like the middle of the night! Rain forecast to last all day so I don't suppose it will get that much lighter No real plans today, until Pilates this evening, although I really must finish writing my cards.

I expect he'll get the bus back to Wolverhampton at some point today Kaz. He has a lecture tomorrow and he's been using his spare time this week to get ahead with essays due in January so that he's not working on them over Christmas. He'll probably go after he's been fed

We were laughing about Bill and how much of a useless guard dog he is. The front door was obviously opened at some point during the night but he was in our room and didn't move a muscle. It's a different matter if he's up there and I open the fridge two floors down

Morning all,

Just about to go into work. I stopped to field some mail before heading out and that means I get a jump on the day. Just looked out and it's grey and horrible.

Normal day at work today but I'm trying to work out the "jet lag" effect of picking up the bike. Well there's always the weekend. I'm also missing the Uni staff Christmas party. They notified me of the date after I'd agreed that I was going home for that Weekend with Mrs S and bought the flight...

Morning all, nice and bright here after a lot of rain overnight. I had a lovely ladies lunch yesterday, but have a headache today caused by sitting with my head turned to the right while chatting away - the muscles on the left side of my neck get strained with the resulting headache Quite a bit on the to-do list for today. I need to wrap and deliver a wedding present, find out if the shop in the local tennis club is open as we are getting Michael a new tennis racquet for Christmas. Also need to do the supermarket shop, and I hope to get started on the Christmas cards, much reduced list this year as postage is now so very expensive. Have a good day everyone
