Morning all, cloudy but dry here. We had a lovely time in town yesterday, I got new dance shoes, he got a pair of cords and some kitcheny bits he wanted. He also got a new pair of leather gloves, the ones he was replacing were a Christmas present from me in.......1974! They were quite expensive at the time, I bought them in Swan and Edgar on Regent Street (long gone). We also got him a nice Christmas tie, his other one had been bought in the pound shop and looked as cheap as it was

This week we are having the children tomorrow instead of the usual Thursday. We are experimenting by doing our big shop in Aldi, normally we go to our nearest Lidl but we were in Aldi last weekend getting golf stuff and it is much bigger. It's further away though. I think Ikea might be on the itinerary too, as Mr Osc rather likes the little drawers I got the other day for my part of the bedroom cupboard. Then back to the ironing  Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here today 8-)

(((((Saundra))))) so lovely to have happy memories xxx

Oh dear Kaz, not a good start. Hope B doesn't have to long to find another job. Good luck to Fraggle for next Tuesday.

Well the driveway peeps turned up late yesterday afternoon, just as well the rain stayed away. It's pretty much done, there's still a bit of rubbish to clear away, but we can use it now. Still a bit annoyed though as they still haven't finished the back, apparently their usual grass supplier is out of stock so Chris is now trying to source some of equal quality elsewhere. He obviously left ordering until the last minute so it looks like we'll have to wait until next week

Off out to do the usual weekly shop shortly.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning :)
Dull and blustery here, don't think I'm going out in it.

Poor Fraggle :( But better to get rid of it I'm sure xx
That is a shame for Becky, but she's had the experience and nothing lost, let's hope she passes and can get going with what she really wants :)
Hugs for you Saundra xx
Osc I can't quite compete but do still have - and use sometimes - the lovely leather gloves that were given to me when I passed my driving test in 1981 :D

Jo I can only say what I always do re teenagers and jobs - catering places. Hotels, restaurants, etc., if you show willing for anything going there are always different opportunities - and around Christmas is a good time to try. Good luck to him anyway, wanting to earn is always a good thing :)
Hope you all have a good day

Kaz, I was going to ask when B's test was. This is something else for her to add to her CV anyway.

Di, they'd be ideal but we're not exactly blessed with many places like that around here and he's applied when jobs have been available and heard nothing back. In two years time there'll be an abundance of jobs around here as a massive outlet village is being built down by the railway station and it's said that there'll be in excess of 1200 new jobs created when it opens!

You have no idea how much
It's nice that it's not going to be on some site a few miles out of town that can only be reached by car too.

Oh thanks for the kind words :) Yes it's been a good experience, and a few weeks money anyway :)

Jo that sounds great! Good luck to Joe job hunting xxx

Osc they lasted well! My suede ones from Osprey are still in good condition, but then at 7 years old they can't compete with yours or Di's

Oh no - poor B!! I hadn't seen this till now, sorry to hear - I'm sure she'll get something soon, would they not keep her on file for when they do get busy, won't be long I don't think?

Hope F is ok - any news?

I was so busy yesterday (Thursday) I didn't get on here (!) out from 10 till gone 3 (shopping) and was so knackered after all that, I had a hot bath and lazed on the couch all night!

Good luck to Joe too :)

The boss did say she might have work after Christmas, as it should get busier, but B thinks it's time to bite the bullet and look for something full time now rather than waiting around on the off chance. Animal related if she gets her test, or office based if not. Fraggle seems ok in himself, a bit quiet, but then he's on strong antibiotics until the op. Thanks Gal xxx

Bless him, the antibiotics are bound to affect him.
Billy had to have some baby teeth removed, when we took him to be neutered the vet checked him over and he still had a row of seven behind his new teeth so she removed them while he was under anaesthetic for the other end
