Aww, that is just too cute..... I'd love to have a dog as well, but my working hours just won't allow it. One day when I'm retired.....

Di - I was wondering about Minnie when I saw the photo's of her. Friends of ours had a black spaniel and Minnie looks similar but not quite the same; now I know why :D. It's a beautiful x of two dog breeds :)

It's perfect meriad :D
Most people think she's a flatcoat but she's a much more delicate build. She has a springer face and ears that go curly when wet :D

Apart from the fact that we now know Springers are one of the breeds susceptible to IMHA :? It's still pretty rare though, and I've always favoured crosses, they're generally more robust than pedigrees :)

How cute is Jensen??! :D

Di, John was determined that we were going to have a cross breed for that same reason :)

Apparently Springadors as they are now known are very popular and looking at that cutey you can see why

Yes they are MM, we've seen them advertised for a fair bit. It is a lovely cross, but I can't go along with people charging a lot of money for them, of any type.
The money charged for pedigrees is fair enough really, the responsible breeders have a lot of expenses.

I am with you Di, but it seems give it a cute name is a market for charging silly money for cross breeds.

My friend has a Shih-Tzu he is one year old and very sweet. Someone stopped her in the street and this is the conversation

"what breed is that puppy"
"he is a Shih-Tzu"
"what is that a cross between"
"nothing, its a breed on it own"
"what two dogs the same"
"err yes"
"oh, I want one of those pedigree cross breeds with the funny names, not one with the same mum and dad"
