What Are We Reading In December?

Postby JoM » 01 Dec 2012, 00:39

I'm STILL reading A Family Affair by Mary Campesi...I will finish it soon, I'm enjoying it but haven't had much time for reading lately.

I've just finished Gillespie and I by Jane Harris. A very good read. I'm on the first chapter of Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel now.

I've just finished the second of the Jeffrey Archers I got. Really enjoyed both, but now have to wait till March for the third installment
Have started Broke the Grape's Joy (can't remember who by), which I started before the JA's, but not really getting into it. Might start another one instead :)

I can't remember and I have left the book upstairs so can't even pop to look.

It is very good though - I will find out though and tell you all!

Diflower, we must think alike. I just finished Archer's 2nd book and am currently waiting for book 3.
Right now I'm reading an old one by Catherine Cookson, The Mallen Lot. I have several of her books
on my shelves and haven't read any for a few years, so I thought it would be good to read one again.

I loved the Mallon books. My mother actually had a Mallon Streak and my son has inherited it.

I've remembered to come back and tell you!

The Guilty One by Lisa Ballantyne. It is her debut novel - it is really, really good.

Elaine I bought both at the same time as kindle deals so didn't have to wait at all between parts 1 & 2.
The problem with kindles is that you can't flick through to remind yourself, so when the new one comes out I shall no doubt be a bit lost :D
Good though, aren't they - but, I'm still wondering where Harry lived all the time he was at the grammar school; his mother said before that she didn't want him back sharing with his uncle Stan, but then no mention of whether that's what happened :?

To go with the 76 waiting to be read my recent visit has added another 6!!! :P :P

I bought Patsy Palmer's autobiography for 50p from a charity shop in town so I'm reading that at the moment.

Then it will be the gory shenanigans of Dr. Harold Shipman. :o

Again..50p.
