It sounds like Minnie is definitely puting up a fight and taking steps in the right direction :)

When you said in one of your posts that she had gotten excited when she saw youngest boy I did think to myself that, as she was showing interest, then things looked more positive.

I know she has a very long way to go but hopefully she'll get there.

Given that it's impossible to explain to her, yes, she's fighting as well as she can.
Yesterday I was worried all day, her breathing was not good, it was laboured, noisy - until the evening when it improved.

She is still interested, she gets up when she hears the car with Bb coming home, wagging her tail. She comes to lie by the sofa when we're both sitting there, and puts her head up for a stroke. Her eyes are alert; she lets us know when she wants to go out.
But obviously, things need to improve. I would never prolong a pet's life if they were not likely to recover or were suffering unduly. At the moment it's not like that, yes she's poorly and feeling c*ap but if that leads to her being better then that's fine.
I just hope that sometime over the next week or so we start to see signs of it all getting better.

She picked up her kong :D :D :D

Normally, each afternoon when I say I'm going to make a cup of tea, she picks up her kong and brings it to the kitchen. I will put 2 little biscuits in it, she takes it to her bed and gets them out to eat. Around 9 in the evening she will pick it up and drop it by one of us, or stand there with it in her mouth till we get the hint, and she gets the same again.

For the last fortnight she hasn't touched it, or any of her toys. Now I realise it's partly driven by the ravenous hunger the steroids induce, but tonight she couldn't manage picking it up properly but went to it, nudged it, moved it then looked at me :D
Bb put in one biscuit, broken up, and she's just been on her bed getting it out :D
She's now lying by him at the sofa, happy :D

Thats fantastic news Di.

When Millie started to get better it was the tiny little things that we saw her do that made us know that she was improving.

Fetching a toy from her toy box - not playing with it, but fetching it. Standing at the door wanting to go for a walk - she was only able to go a very short distance but the fact that she wanted to go out was enough.

Tiny, baby steps - she's getting there. Slowly but surely, she's getting there. :D :D :D
