Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 31 Jul 2016, 05:34

Good morning. :D

I can't believe this is the last day of July!!! :o

And par for the course it'll be another very hot one. 8-) 8-)

I'm sitting on my terrace with a coffee as I type listening to the birds twittering happily - it's my favourite time of day. :D :D

A swim later then I'm going to give my bike a hose down and a polish - cycling is being resumed next week. Herman the German and his daughter Adela are back on the scene!

A few hours by the pool with a book from my mini library will do me today. :D :D

I've got a massive yomp with David tomorrow so will be staying in tonight. :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, and everyone :)

Ally, a day reading by the pool sounds bliss 8-) This summer does seem to be speeding by! :o

We had a gorgeous sunny day yesterday, but today is much cooler and cloudy. Out food shopping later, then tonight we are out for a meal with D, Mick's brother P and his wife M, and P's son S who is back from China - where he teaches English - for a few weeks. We haven't seen him since P and M's wedding in Cyprus, so it will be nice to catch up :)

Have a good day :) xxx

Morning all. We have sun again for the second day running. Back to rain tomorrow though.

Not sure of our plans for today. I was intending to head to the beach but L not so keen as she has come down with a cold. S still in bed. So we will se pe what she wants to do when she gets up and decide on a plan of action. Maybe a ride out somewhere instead - although I will happily sit in the garden and read all day.

Off to a daredevil show tonight.

Morning everyone

Slightly cooler this morning, due to the wind howling around   Certainly keeping us cooler 8-)

A gentle day pootling today - we've both been working quite hard, so looking forward to just doing not a lot. We need to measure up for the screening for the fence at the top end of the garden and decide on the colours for the painting and staining - we're going to have a colour around the windows and doors and also the wood on the terraces needs to be done - more work for grumpy

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Lovely sunny day here 8-)

We're in such a muddle with furniture all over the place I managed to stub my foot yesterday so now have a lovely black toe to add to all the other bruises. Honestly, clumsy should be my middle name

Not much happening here today, think we'll just take advantage of having the place to ourselves.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all!

It's a bright one here, nice temperature too. I'm just back from walking Billy, we were a bit later going out than normal today as I had a few jobs to get done. I always try to get out early on a Sunday to avoid the Sunday dog walkers (the 'work all week, shop on a Saturday, take the dog for a walk in the countryside on Sunday' type) as they seem to be the ones with uncontrollable dogs.
Not much planned for the rest of the day. There's ironing to do once the coffee machine's done it's job. Tom's working 3-11pm again, he's then got two days off though. John's currently out on his bike (and no doubt he'll come back moaning about Sunday dog walkers too  ).
Not sure if we'll go anywhere later. Birmingham is difficult now the Aston Expressway is closed at weekends (heard someone say it took them 2 hours to get the short distance from the city centre to Wolverhampton last weekend because of the build up of traffic on surrounding roads because of it), we went to Wolverhampton last Sunday and I don't think we'll bother on a Sunday again

Ally, I'm looking forward to hearing about tomorrow's yomp!

Enjoy your catch up Kaz!

Jen, be careful!

Have a good day all! Oh, I also can't believe July is almost over!

Morning all. Sound like a lot of lazing around today.

I'm off to Screwfix for some more tools and Halfords for a few bits then back to the kind of mechanics I had to do all my 7 years in the Army.

Jen the French swear by Arnica cream for bruises. Mrs S uses is at lot. I wouldn't know as I rarely bruise much and it's usually gone in a day or two.

Enjoy the day all. It's cloudy and windy and 16C here.

I really feel for him Ally, at least we've got the choice of whether we go into the area or not but in Erdington he's stuck in the middle of it :x I think it's going on for a few months isn't it.
I've just heard the traffic report on the radio and they said it's now starting to build up
