DA14

Did you see the pictures from Russia this morning of the meteorite that caused windows to blow in and a shock wave felt 200km away when it landed?

That was the scout for DA14. It is "supposed" to miss Earth by 17,000 miles... if the wind stays in the right direction.

If the sky keeps clear it should be visible this evening, from about 7pm, heading from the east, through the Great Bear and on towards the Pole star. If you cannot see it it might be heading your way. ;)

I wasn't trying to scare anyone, just in case.

But if the skies stay clear it is a once-in-a-lifetime event.
