I think they must have been dogs Weka, foxes are solitary animals.

Kaz, before we moved I was walking up to get Joe from school one afternoon when a fox walked out from between some cars parked on the path and walked straight past me, he/she couldn't have been more than 2ft away. It took me a moment to realise and I turned to see it disappearing over a neighbour's back garden gate. I'd only ever seen a brief glimpse of one on the Chase before, it amazed me that it was so brazen!

It's quite a regular occurrence to see them now, in fact after I posted on here yesterday I took Billy up the woods and one crossed our path up ahead. I love to see them.

I always get upset at seeing dead animals by the road. Coming back from the football earlier in the year we drove past a dead badger on the dual carriageway by Manchester Airport, I couldn't get it out of my mind afterwards :(

It is upsetting - I don't like to see dead hedgehogs in the road, especially as there are diminishing numbers these days.

Mind you, the baby pigeons round here seem to have a death wish. I actually had to stop the car and shoo one off the road in our cul-de-sac yesterday, as it was happily waddling along the tarmac in front of me without a care in the world while I was trying to drive out!!
