Lichfield is nice Kaz, not a large place but lovely to walk around. Lots of nice cafes, pubs and restaurants too. I used to work in the city centre and loved escaping for a walk on my lunch hour
Hope you manage to get to the Food Festival in good time.

You get around Ossie!

The pump as put on this morning and will stay on until 6.00 ish or when we get back from the bar

Grumpy is trying to brush down - very carefully - all the dust from yesterday - Joachim, the digger driver - apologised in advance, as he knew he was going to make lots of dust, as he was moving soil and stones around.

And he was right

I was wondering what he was doing 8-)

He's using a paint roller, on a long handle and very gently brushing the dust to the filter    8-)

Afternoon, it is rather dull here with a breeze, good drying out though which I am pleased about, as apart from towels, I don't plan to do any more washing before Wednesday (did I mention we are going away then :cute: ) I've been doing bits and bobs, paying some bills, assembling various clothes for the hols and so on. I will have to catch up on the ironing this afternoon. My Florida friend is due here this weekend with her latest man, so no doubt we will hear from her at some stage although fitting in seeing her may be difficult as they go again on Monday. They left Nice the day before the horror

Mr Osc is cooking ribs in the slow cooker, not cooked them before so it will be interesting to see how they turn out, having them with sweet potato wedges and garlic green beans. Have a good day everyone :)

Good afternoon all.

We've been busy supermarket shopping this morning, and came back absolutely loaded up.

It's lovely weather here - not too hot.

Hope you all have a nice day.

That was a good suggestion Di, but in the end we left here about 10.20, dropped Hannah at the station and then went into the Quays early ;) At that time there was still loads of parking left, and as we go to Corretto's we get free parking under a new arrangement they have with the Quays management, They just validate your ticket for you 8-) We had a very early lunch, then a wander round before it got too busy - by the time we left it was really starting to fill up :)

Nadiya was yesterday, apparently, it was Tom Kerridge (who is a local boy) there today, and tomorrow Levi Roots :) Loads of foodie stalls, and live music :)

Glad you got to go anyway Kaz :)

We're off to be festival-goers :D
It's in the next village, but not your usual village effort ;)
We've missed Aqualung as they were this afternoon (this year tour Hollywood, New York, Dublin, London - and Milford!)
We'll see Saints of Sin, Zach & the Zeros and Coldplace - 'world's leading tribute to Coldplay' :D :Hi:
Lots of food and drink stalls so we'll get whatever we fancy :)
