Morning all. Lovely morning here.

Been to school first thing for assembly and then Millie and I (I took her with me and hid her in the head's office during assembly - its too cold for her to stay outside whilst she is still skin and bones) walked back with a friend and her dog - it was fantastic to see Millie running around with Mac like a complete lunatic. She has come back filthy, famished and exhausted but really, really happy.

No plans for today - I have pushed the hoover round and squirted some polish and I am intending on making the most of the last day of term and sitting watching tv and knitting. The girls and I are both off next week so my days will be action packed!

Good luck at the hospital Loz and happy birthday Gladys. And huge vibes to all the poorlies.

I posted a long account of our day at the hospital earlier and clicked submit
and that was the last i saw of it :( :( :( :o :o
I will try and remember it.
Thankyou to all of you that sent good wishes.
We had a nightmare journey there and then waited till 1pm for
our 11am appointment :(
OH did`nt see the surgeon who performed the op but one of his team.
She was very nice and examined OH`s breathing, heartbeat, and carotid artery
function.
She asked him many questions and said she was pleased with his progress.
The trouble is that OH can`t get the words out to ask what he wants to (the first
stroke took that away)
She assumed that he di'd`nt go out and was surprised when he said he walks a
short way every day.
He seems upset at the result but i don`t know what he expected.
They will see him again in 5 months.
He is now determined to improve as much as he can just to show them.
They will decide next time whether to do another stent as he has another narrowing.

Aw, aren't men all the same, whatever age?

Sounds good though Lissie xx

My dad had a couple of strokes - and him a salesmen  . in the end all he could say was " did did" but we could always tell if he was upset or anything by the "tone" and how quickly he could say it - and by his face  Bless him - his did dis got really bad watching footie

Such a shame that a lot of people don't know, or understand, how strokes affect people.

Huge hugs Lissie, to you both xxx
