Help!!!!!!

it's gone all streaky!! So the black is no longer quite as black.

The only thing we can think of is splashes from the chip pan -just spent ages trying to clean it off, can't feel anything, but Grumpy seriously peed off.

How can I clean it? We've been using washing up liquid and a clean cloth and drying it off, but nothing seems to help.

I used to buy a special cleaner for granite worktops, from the supermarket. Don't know if you can get it there though. Although, is this actual damage, rather than marks? :o :?

Just marks Kaz - if you could let me know the name, I'll see if I can get some here.

Don't laugh, but try baby wipes. You'd be surprised just what they can clean / remove.

Is the granite sealed? Maybe ask the kitchen company that installed the counter for advice. Hot oil should not damage a granite worktop I'd have thought?

Baby wipes I have - use them to clean out the glad bags, will try that.

As I haven't paid for all of the kitchen yet - still waiting for 3 handles, the pop up sink thingy, the back for the microwave cupboard I didn't order/want and also for a light fitting, if they ever come back, I'll ask.
