Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 08 Jul 2016, 05:22

Good morning. :D

Had the best day yesterday...we walked miles and miles following the mural trail. It was fabulous.
Glasgow is a great city and a real pleasure to explore.

We didn't make the Winter Gardens for the memorial though as they closed at 5pm.
We can do that next July. ;) ;)

Today mum and dad are treating us to retail therapy and then lunch. :D

Visiting various aunts and uncles after that.

Mum's cooking steak and chips for dinner....yummmeeeee. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all. Beautiful sunny day.

I'm off to see Fruity in her new house today. Woohoo.

S is home from her week at Derby uni today so I'm looking forward to hearing all about that.

Good morning!

Ally, the murals look amazing! A friend saw them when she was there and put photos on Facebook, it looked so impressive! Enjoy today!

Tom started work at 5am so I got up at 4.30 to make sure he was up and make him some breakfast and coffee. The plan was then that I'd walk Billy but it was raining and still quite dark so I went back to bed. John dropped him off and then got himself another couple of hours. He then cycled into work.

It's dull here and forecast to stay the same, with rain, over the weekend which is typical as it's the weekend of the Forestry Commission concerts on the Chase, starting tonight, and we've got tickets for tomorrow and Sunday. Oh well, I've got wellies...

Have a good day all!

I'm home so it's bright, sunny and 28c at 9am. Makes a change from rainy Edinburgh.

I made it back last night OK but it was late, the Ryanair flight arrived on time but it took 50 minutes to clear passport and get bags at Bordeaux airport. Given that it's a tiny shedlike building on the side of the main terminal only for budget flights, that was interminable. At least they had aircon.

Got the bike back by the judicious jumping of traffic lights all the way out of Poitiers. It was nearly 1am so not a major issue. Those carbs I just brought back with me will be a godsend. The originals are going to a guy in Florida who does a rebuild service (I've tried twice now and apparently they are a real pig), for a reasonable price.

Today should have been going to the skip and getting gravel for Mrs S to do the garden before I start work, but we were both too tired after last night. Tomorrow is an evening Randonee at my BIL's place; 6km with courses from a meal at each stage. Should be fun. I'll be pretty much out till Monday after today.

Enjoy your day all.

Morning all :)

Ally, I've never been to Scotland  I really should some day as every time I hear anything about it, it sounds wonderful :D :D Have another fab day :D

Have a good pootle Ton, the Dallas stuff is terrible, I will never understand their gun laws in a million years :(

Morning Jo, wow that's an early start, I've only been awake for half an hour

Debih, make sure you give H a huuuuge hug from me, Mick and I will definitely get up there to visit, once she's settled :)

Morning Suff, glad you got the bike back safely - have a great time this weekend :)

Well, Harry is here, no sign of him stirring yet but then that's teenagers for you :P  I'm going out with D later, for an hour, to The Range to get stuff for the garden party she's throwing at the end of the month for the local Cruse group that she volunteers with. That's in a few weeks time, but she wants plastic/paper cutlery, crockery, tablecloths etc :) I'm roped into sandwich making, and waitress duties on the day  Harry had the option to come but strangely enough he'd prefer to stay in and find some footie on a sports channel ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all :D

Overcast but nice and dry at the moment, not sure what the forecast is :?

We've had a lovely lie in this morning, Steve and Terry are having a day off and we're expecting Peter the painter to arrive any minute. He's going to get started on decorating the extension and lounge, mainly undercoating the walls and ceiling. Think he's also planning to strip the walls in our spare bedroom, well good luck with that as it's absolutely full with all the furniture from the lounge plus this pc and printer etc etc. Apparently he'll be with us most of the weekend as the other two want to start boarding the hall and bedroom ceilings on Monday.

We need to pop into town for fruit and veggies so fingers crossed it stays nice enough for a stroll along the seafront.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, sun and cloud here, I took a chance last night and put out the washing before we went to bed and thankfully it didn't rain. Mr Osc is going out to play golf in a while and I am pottering about, will probably go for a walk and need to get some bits in the shops.

Babysitting this evening as Michael is playing in an U8 five a side at half time during a League of Ireland soccer match, quite a big thing for his local team. Grandad was asked to go along, so I will mind Kellie while everyone else goes along, hopefully there will be photos. Have a good day everyone :)

Osc, Michael must be so excited about that! Yes, hopefully there'll be photos :D

Kaz, I've never been to The Range. There's one in Stafford but I don't go there very often (although that may change soon as there's a large new shopping development in the town centre due to open this Summer), and whilst it's not 'out of town' it's not exactly slap bang in the town centre so I don't think to go that way.

Hope the weather stays nice for that stroll Jen!

It's brightened up a bit here and I've just hung a load of washing out. It's quite windy so hopefully it'll dry quickly as long as it doesn't rain.

Kaz, thankfully Tom's early shifts are quite rare, it's only this week that he's had a few 5am starts. I think I said before that he doesn't usually get his schedule until the weekend before but he's been given one up until mid-August and he's only got one more 5am shift listed and that's tomorrow. The earliest he's got in the coming weeks is 8am. Phew!
