Gosh tons to reply to, since I was here earlier :D

Ria, yes, the lack of beer barrels certainly does aid restful sleep :roll: :lol: :lol: I hope that painter got your bathroom done! If not we'll be round to sort him out!! xxxx

Ton, hope the storm goes over soon!! :shock:

Gal, that accident looked awful :o :( :( Glad you were nowhere near it! (((x))) The Nordic Walking sounds great! Becky gets two full days off per week, so not too bad, and at the moment the full days are fun so hopefully that will continue ;)

Jo, Fraggle is fine now, seems to have just been that one night! Thankfully he doesn't seem any the worse for it, he's as full of beans as usual :) xx Well done to Joe for getting on with those units!

Debih, shame about the net access at work, looking forward to hearing all about it later 8-)

Osc, your day sounds fun but exhausting :lol: :lol:

Sorry about your hayfever sniffles Saundra, I used to get it badly but hardly suffer these days. No idea why!!

* Waves to Aggers* :) :)

Evening Frank :D xx

That's good about Fraggle! :D Forgot to say, have a lovely week with Harry (still can't believe how grown up he looks!). Becky's certainly in a beautiful part of the world, John's often talked about going to visit his aunty over in Vancouver and whenever she's been over here she's always urged us to go over and stay but it's never seemed fair to land up over there with kids as well.

Gal, the accident looked dreadful....so sad :( How long have you been Nordic walking?

Didn't it? Not had any news/tv on up to now so hav no further updates but I'm sure those involved must be shaken up! Tom was meant to be on that run but swapped at the last minute, the lad who did it saw the accident - he had to be sent home as he was so traumatised :(

I've been Nordic walking since the end of April, Jo - off and on. It's a Thursday morning, some weeks I have had to work and some I had holiday/time off and Tom and I went out, so probably altogether I'd say maybe 8 weeks of actually doing it! :oops: We had four proper lessons where we were taught technique (very very important to get your technique right!) and since then we meet to practice and practice some more - first 'Adventure Day' today which as you maybe saw on FB, meant going to the beach, walking on damp sand shows the angle of your pole as you 'plant' which is all good, and also shows if you are dragging the poles which you aren't supposed to do, but on grass you don't realise. Sorry to go on, but I feel quite proud of myself for starting this as I didn't know a soul beforehand (it's not local to me, I have to drive about 20 minutes to get to the main place) and have now met some really nice people through it, as well as hopefully getting a bit fitter :D Daft mare, aren't I? :lol:

Thanks Jo, and neither can I! :D :o :lol:

B hasn't seen much outside of the rescue place so far, but when she gets her days off she is hoping to, and when the 'baby' season is over they all get more 'down' time and she's hoping to see more of what BC has to offer :D I will put the pics on here when she takes some :D

Gal it made the national news!!! :o :( :( :( You are not at all daft, the walking sounds a really good idea, and meeting new people is great too :D

Not daft at all Gal! Funnily enough Nordic walking was one of the things I'd suggested to John's Mom as she's not made any friends in Wales and isn't going anywhere to meet people so complains a lot of being lonely and not seeing anyone for days, so you've backed up what I thought. No surprise that she wasn't interested.

Kaz, we've been talking about British Columbia tonight in Tesco. We bumped into an old school friend of John's and he was saying that he's going to Whistler for a ski holiday next year, and that started John off about how he'd love to go there for mountain biking (obviously when there's no snow or skiiers).

I do like Canada, we've spent a fair bit of time in Toronto when visiting the family in Niagara Falls and loved it. One time we were flying there and the pilot announced that we had to land to refuel. All that could be seen for miles around was dense forest but the plane was getting lower and lower and we actually landed on this air strip amongst the trees. There was a shed and whatever was needed for refuelling and that was it. Suddenly cars started pulling up and people got out to watch. It was quite a weird experience and I've no idea why we had to refuel as we'd done the journey a couple of times previously and flown direct, and we've flown further since and not had to stop.
