What a bargain!! :D Talk about being at the right place at the right time!

Tom's halls are right next door to a large Asda (there's even a gate from the grounds onto Asda car park) and they get some really good bargains. It's not all Pot Noodles for these students, we went over one night and they'd picked up a whole salmon for something like 50p (use by the following day) and had rustled up salmon en croute

Jo, Tom and his student mates sound like my Michael.

When he went off to uni I asked him what he wanted, thinking it might be a new phone, lappy, you know, something techie. Turned out to be a wok and utensils, a load of spices and an Oriental cook book!

I grate a kg of cheese and throw it in the freezer. I'd like to say it lasts is ages, but....

WM that's a cracking price! I wish we got bargain like that here, even its original price would be better than our so called bargains!

 Tom went off with a load of utensils and various kinds of pans. And a load of spices too! I took him food shopping before he moved and spices featured very heavily. He had a slow cooker for part of his birthday present this year so that he had a good meal waiting for when he got in from late lectures or the library.
Every time that we've visited him one or another of the lads he's been sharing with has been cooking up something that looks and smells amazing in the kitchen.
