Good morning all :D

Ton, enjoy your pootle :D

Well we've had a long lazy lie-in, and are hoping for a very quiet relaxing weekend after all the excitement of the last week, and the coming shennanigans of next week :D :Hi: :Hi:

B is fine, she's sharing a cabin with a few other girls, it's basic but very clean and comfy and she's managed to score a bottom bunk ;) :D   Her first responsibilities are a pair of baby Cottontail rabbits :D Super cute, she put the pics on FB, I will share them later ;) I will also put a few on the photo board on here, when there are enough of them to make it worthwhile ;) 8-)

Have a good day everyone :) xxxx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here at the moment, hope it lasts.

Snap Ton, we've had a lovely long lie in too. Still a bit pongy here, but not as bad as it was, Steve's still got a couple of walls to do in the utility so more smell promised for Monday. They're hoping to be ready to screed the floor throughout the extension on Wednesday, it will take a couple of days to set and then they're going to move all the stuff stored in the spare bedroom out there so they can start stripping the walls and boarding the ceilings. The only room left to do will be our bedroom, oh and of course the kitchen but that's waiting till last. There's also quite a bit more work to do outside. Poor E's really fed up with it all and it's not going to get any better for a few weeks yet. It would help if the weather picked up a bit, then we'd be able to get out more.

Not much planned for today, lots of washing on the go and we're going out shortly for a walk along the seafront to the harbour.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning you three  -

I was hoping to have a lie in today but the cats had other ideas :) - but lots to do today so just as well. Had the painter come round earlier this morning to look at the lounge wall as that needs quite a bit of repair before he starts painting that room. Then in about an hour I've got someone coming round to quote for trimming the neighbours cherry tree. It's a huge tree and takes all the evening sun from my garden which is very frustrating when I come home after spending an entire day cooped up in the office. She didn't think about how big it would grow when she planted it and thankfully realises that it needs a chop; not sure how it'll work out cost wise but I did say I'd pay towards it as chopping it will be benefiting me; not her. We'll see...

Jen, I can imagine it's getting enough now for both you and E but hopefully it's not much longer before it's all done and you can settle in properly. Fingers crossed this cr*ppy weather does turn soon and we have some summer and you can get out - it really just isn't nice being stuck indoors all summer after the winter we had.
Kaz, glad Becks is enjoying it so far. Enjoy your lazy weekend.
Ton, enjoy your pootle day and the weekend lie-ins

Once gardening person has been then I'll head to the shops to get something for dinner - Nadine is coming over to help me pack up the lounge (I'm bribing her with dinner and wine! ). It has to be done today as I'm out tomorrow; Monday is work and Tuesday is off to Brum and the painter starts Wednesday... fun and games

have a lovely day everyone xxx

Afternoon all, haven't been outside the door yet, but planning a walk on the pier shortly. Mr Osc was taking apart and reassembling one of our Austrian blinds which has not been working properly. So I stayed around to give any required assistance (and ultimately first aid, as the screwdriver slipped and stuck into his thumb  ) and as a result I have done a lot of small h/worky stuff which has to be good :D Might do some knitting and later on have to do my nails, as we are out dancing tomorrow, and if I do a good enough job, they might last until Tuesday - I seem to be doing something special that day :?: :?: Enjoy the rest of Saturday :)

Oh Jen, screed smells awful too :? :( Hope the weather stays fine so you can escape a bit more often - enjoy your walk today :) xxx

Osc, I did hear a rumour about Tuesday............... :P :D   I needed to do my nails last night, but opted for a clearish pale pink gel to tide me over until Monday night, when I have a new polish to try :D 8-)

Hope all your jobs get done Ria, busy day for you! :)

We've had a nice day so far, but it's been cloudy and chilly until half an hour ago when the sun came out and it warmed right up, too late for lunch outside but the garden looks nice and sunny now

Hi all - it's sunny but extremely windy here today! I've been to work, started back last Monday after my two weeks holiday, but this week has been ok. I haven't worked with Jan at all but I met up with her for lunch yesterday so I think we have caught up on the chat ;)

Lewis is here, or was - he has gone to the dog track again with Grandad, won't be as late tonight back as they were last week. They get a 'chicken dinner' and some sticky toffee pudding, which Lewis loves, and deserves - since he started playing for the Under 8s he is doing very well - he headed a goal in today! 8-) :D :D Mum and Dad are at another wedding (!!) their second in three weeks, so he'll be sleeping at ours tonight, I think Lily is at her other Grans.

Kaz it sounds as though Becky is starting immediately!! I thought they might get a day or two to 'bed in' as it were....I hope she has the best time!! xx

Sounds as though there is something afoot this coming week?? ;) 8-) Shame I can't be there - I will be in spirit though :D

Yes, she was straight into it, after a good night's sleep   I don't think she minds, she's been waiting for this for a good 18 months now ;)

Shame you couldn't come Gal, maybe one year eh? :) xxxxxx
