Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 30 Jun 2016, 04:59

Good morning. :D

Hot. 8-)

A swim then hairdresser Eduardo's coming round to just trim the ends of my hair...it's grown loads in 2 weeks!

A few things to do round the house and an hour or two lazing by the pool when I've finished.

Have a good day everyone, safe trip for B and a hug for you Kaz. (((K))) xxx

Morning Ally and everyone

Chilly wind out there - but will be very hot later 8-)

Safe journey to B and hugs for you all, especially Kaz xx

I really must get that ironing out of the way

Jose is back, so the steps will be finished and the walls also today. Still waiting for the tiling to start   but one thing that, in a perverse way, gives me a little pleasure, is that it won't be finished by the time next doors guests arrive

Grumpy had rather a disturbed night - which means I did too   - with a gyppy tum, so I'll be playing nurse today

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, just realised I didn't post yesterday, another day that got away from me, and we were out last night. Kellie will arrive shortly, but we won't have Michael until nearly teatime, as he is going to a party and one of his friend's mums is collecting him from school, bringing him to their house and then on to the party, Miss Osc will collect him from the party and drop him here. He finishes senior infants today, wish the years would stop dashing by :( Weather only so-so today, but hopefully we will get out for a walk with Kellie. Kaz, have a big hug, I remember how it was when Miss Osc went away to work in the US for the summer, and that was before we had a computer or mobiles, so it was letters and an occasional phone call (as in......."Hi Mum, just letting you know that we are ok after the hurricane". "Oh - what hurricane?"  ). Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all

Kaz, a big hug from me as well.... this letting go bit must be so hard for a parent.

Ally enjoy the lazy day - and don't forget to start catching some of that sunshine to bring with you; we need lots and lots and lots!
Ton, please tell me that next door aren't expecting you to give their guests (or themselves) access to your pool? Or am I misunderstanding? Good luck with the ironing; hope you get it done, hopefully whilst you still have the chilly wind going?
Osc, enjoy the time with Kellie

Usual work day for me and then meeting a friend for dinner; looking forward to that. We get on really well and don't see nearly enough of other so when we do it's always hours of nattering and laughing.

have a lovely day all xx

Morning all :D

Wet and miserable here :(

We now have a newly plastered lounge, but sitting in there yesterday evening wasn't much fun. The carpet had been taken up and it's surprising how much cold air comes up through the floorboards. I've often wondered about that watching renovation programmes on the box. They're always recommending people take the carpets up and sand the floorboards, well all I can say is it's not particularly warm or comfortable!! More plastering going on in the extension today.

We're off out to do the weekly shop shortly and that's about it for today.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all.

It's lovely and sunny here. I'm off to my doctors for the usual check-up soon.
Nothing else planned for today, except watching the tennis - it makes a nice
change from all the doom and gloom about leaving the E.U.

Hope you are all O.K. I wish you a happy new month for tomorrow.

Sorry Ria, I'm not explaining myself properly.

They have their own pool - what I was thinking about is that the builders get here about 7.15 every morning, which sets the dogs off - and their hut is right by the guest wing

Kaz, Good luck for B and a hug from me too. Just think of it as if it were you going and put yourself in her place. Bound to make you feel better.

This morning I was up at 8am, fitted straps to our concrete bench in the second courtyard we're revamping with an outside kitchen and tiled seating area with outside lighting. Mrs S will do the cladding of the bench whilst I'm away.

Work from the office at home today, finish at 5pm, head to Bordeaux for the flight tonight 21:30, into the apartment and off to work tomorrow.

#1 Grandson arrives tomorrow to get his kilt measured and ordered so it's pick him up and rush around before heading for the hotel...

Have a good day all.
