Candy looks very thin today though she is still eating like a horse.
I had her on my lap for hours last night then put her down on her favourite spot and went to bed.
Just as I was falling into a sleep I heard her wailing constantly. I almost broke my neck diving out of bed to see what was wrong with her. As I got to her she stopped wailing, stood up and started purring round my legs!
So she had the whole house awake because she wanted petted.
An hour later I got back to sleep.
She has done this wailing twice today too-I was reading up on it and seemingly they do this when confused/lonely. As soon as I pick her up she stops the wailing and purrs instead, settling down in my lap for a nap.
She's went from a very independent cat to an attention seeking, spoilt moggy(and I love it).

My Mia is a master (or mistress) of exactly that behaviour Shaz. She isn't confused or lonely, just demanding. She will sit on the sofa and wail until I sit down with her, she comes up to bed in the morning when Tim lets her upstairs and stands by the bed wailing until I call her, then she digs at my face or any bit of me she can get at until I lift the covers and let her in. Mowgli will do it to an extent, he will sit at the bottom of the stairs and shout until I call him, even though he knows where I am. Mind you they are demanding orientals

It is lovely that she has turned into a mummys girl though, these days will be etched on your memory

Aww Shaz, you just have to do what they want don't you, and thankfully makes you feel better as well xx

Shaz, my Molly does this but hers definitely is age related. She's 20 and a bit and has feline dementia and will often walk somewhere, stare at a wall and meow loudly, VERY loudly. So same as you I often get up, find her and give her a cuddle. Most times she's then OK but other times it'll be not even 5 minutes later and she'll repeat the process.

But I've also learned to ignore it at times and give her time to 'find' herself, esp night times.... I get little enough sleep as it is with her trampling on my head that I refuse to get up unless I have to

I really do hope that you still have a good few months with your gorgeous girl, keep on spoiling her x
