Next doors blasted animals

Postby tonicha » 18 Jun 2016, 20:05

That nasty boxer was trying so hard to get at me through the fence this morning :cute: :cute: :cute: Grumpy was a little late with the hose-pipe

All we hear from our neighbours and friends is that he's a big softy. Well, he may be, on that side of the fence - he hates us with a passion

And then I was walking around our pool    when one of their rescue dogs started barking, then scared 3 ducks, who were having a stroll    Two ended up on our side, one got stuck and there was not a hope in hell of me trying to free it, as 2 dogs were right by the fence.

Their visitor was looking at climbing over the (barbed) wire fence :o :? - until Brian decided he'd better take charge, so he stomped, literally, you could see how mad he was   came through our gate and collected 2 ducks, chucked 'em over the fence and had to rescue what I honestly thought as a dead duck

Our neighbour then asked if I had the orange sauce ready.

Next time, I said

We've found out that the house was built in the "wrong" place, not where the planning department decided :cute: :cute: :cute:

So I've decided that we're going to extend the fence panels and also the wall that Heldar is going to build. Such a shame, as it'll impact on our view - but I really cannot have those dogs going barmy when either of us walk on our property.

It's a bit inconsiderate of your neighbours allowing their dogs to keep causing such a commotion.

Extending your fence sounds a good way of overcoming the problem without causing a difficult situation.

I hope things turn out alright for you.

Thank you Aggers - I'm going to be up and about in a few weeks time, about 6 in the morning, as they have paying guests

And as their 4 dogs go barmy when they see any-one, that'll wake everyone up

It is horrible when the pets of neighbours are problematic, especially if there are no other real problems in your relationship.

Would a sit down and chat over a beer or three help? What about them 'introducing' you to the dogs so that they get to know you and do not see you as a threat?

We really cannot talk to him - he puts his head down and mumbles, telling you all about how many chickens (46) geese (6) dogs (4 - yes, and three of them are the Portuguese guard dogs who sleep during the day and bark at night) 10 goats, and at the last count, 15 ducks.

When he told me that he was planning on building a new dogs house, away from his house, I thought, oh brill - you've got 10 acres - so he's decided to put it near our fence.    :cute:

Words will be said and if necessary I'll be going to the council. They are a nuisance, they are noisy and there are laws.

And he also peed off his neighbours in England too - well, he's doing a blasted good job of it here - our previous owner put a fence up to stop the dogs and them peering into the house and I'm just so peed off that our lovely home is being spoilt by a very inconsiderate prat.

Ah, that post changes things, Ton.

I would be straight off to the council and taking evidence to them.

It is such a shame that all this is stressing you in your new home.

Frank, they were the same with the previous owner

They had, then, 2 boxers, (one died just before we moved in) and I love boxers, having had them when I was growing up. This one is a mad thing - literally shoves his face threw the fence - and I'm not alone in finding him scary, Our other neighbours won't go near him either.

Brian is not the sort of person to talk to - he is very anti-social (according to everyone we've spoken to - even his hairdresser) he wants to live the good life and no-one is going to stop him.

His wife I get on with really well, but if he shouts "Lesley!!" she jumps up and runs, so you can see the sort of man he is.

A prat of first water.
