..... the Mother of all Thunderstorms any minute now here. It's gone a black as sin, the wind has picked up slightly from dead calm, and there's thunder rumbling in the distance .....

we had an almighty downpour earlier on here in London. My office overlooks a park (Embankment Gardens) and all of a sudden I just heard squeals and looked out and it was like someone had turned the shower on to full blast so all the people sitting on the benches and on the lawn just grabbed their bits and ran for whatever shelter they could find. There will be a few soggy people walking about this afternoon.

We had a thunder storm for quite a bit as well

very odd weather - but sitting indoors and dry - I'm loving it

I think the worst of it is passing to the west of us now, but it has started to rain, and that's very welcome for the garden ....

It arrived here just after 7.15 - it has stopped now though and it still feels very humid! We need a long downpour overnight and nice fresh sunshine in the morning

Completely fogged in here in Newcastle, Co. Down, can't see across the road! We got some lovely sunshine while we were walking earlier in the day.
