Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 08 Jun 2016, 05:20

Good morning. :D

Scorchio. 8-) 8-)

Taking Don to the airport at 9am as he's flying to Birmingham (it's his mum's 92nd birthday tomorrow) and will have a swim when I get home. :D

David's off work this week so we're going to meet up, and over a beer or 3, discuss and plan our next couple of climbs. :D :D :D

I'm treating him to dinner as he does all the driving on our trips. :D :D

Have a great day everyone. :D

Morning Ally, all.

Sounds like Mrs S used to do, she was always taking me to the Airport or picking me up. Hope Don's mum has a great day, she'd clearly doing well.

I, personally, am just going to work and coming back again. Nothing special today. Mrs S is travelling to Caen to take the overnight ferry to Portsmouth today. She and #1 daughter are going to Rome for a week on Monday and she needs to renew her passport so she's going early.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, Suff and everyone

Hot 8-)

Need to do a beer run again     and also some food, although I think a lot of it will be lettuce and tomatoes. Certainly hot here in the Alentejo and the Algarve, but we knew that ;)

Builders here again - they're still working on the pump room, but also the base for the area around the pool. The amount of hard graft they do, in this heat, is amazing. I'm more than happy to give them a few beers every day.

Apart from builder watching, not sure what we'll be doing. I have some ironing, which will probably be done this morning. May go out for dinner tonight, may not.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally, safe flight to Don and Happy Birthday to J tomorrow :D :D

Morning Suff :)

Morning Ton, it's going to be a very hot one here too, allegedly ;)

Morning all :) As said, the forecast is boiling hot for later - at the moment however it's overcast and cool. After my cleaning spree last night - we had ants all over the kitchen and also some in the living room - there isn't much in the way of housework to do, I was going to do it this morning    I do have a little ironing though, and we need bread (the ants got in the bread bin) so I'll walk up to Sainsbury's later   Becky is working all day, she finishes there a week on Friday :o This month is galloping past!

Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny here.

I'm off out for coffee with the ladies this morning, it's so nice I expect we'll sit out on the terrace. Haven't been for a couple of weeks so it will be nice to catch up. Not sure what we'll do this afternoon, but if it stays like this a stroll round the harbour is very tempting.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all

Safe travels to Don Ally and a very happy birthday to his mom for tomorrow. Enjoy the evening out with David - it'll be fun planning your next climbs! I do admire your energy
Ton, when do they expect the pool to be finished and you will be done with having builders at the house? Or are you looking to do more stuff around the house?
Suff; will your wife get her passport in time? Or will she be travelling on the old one - not sure how long the UK passports take?
Kaz, enjoy your day pootling about. Same here weather wise, cool (but pleasant cool - not cold) and overcast at the moment but they're expecting it to reach 27 today; so another muggy day. I quite like it like this but I know many struggle with the muggy nights etc
Jen, enjoy your day with the ladies and hopefully you'll get your stroll around the harbour

Same as Suff I have a non-descript work day. Popping out for lunch with a friend but that's about it. Very usual day otherwise :D

have a lovely day all x

Good morning, all.

It's blinkin' 'ot here now.

I've been gardening this morning - putting in a standard rose for a neighbour.
Glad to have a rest now.

Have a nice day - whatever you're up to.

The pool should be done in about 3-4 weeks Ria.

The tiles are the problem, they'll be another 3 weeks yet   but they're cracking on with the surround, so that'll be good to see it take shape. And I'm going to make sure, when they infill, that some of the ginormous rocks stay outside and we'll somehow or other make a feature of some of them.

A neighbour, before she retired, was a professional calligrapher and she's going to do some sign-writing on one of the massive shale rocks, once we've cleaned it off.
