I do it to music too, upstairs, never in front of the tv :D
Often my Boppy playlist, or Rock favourites :)

Partly depends on your house/layout of course, but no point here of carrying the iron, ironing board, ironing, hangers, downstairs, iron it and then take it all back up again :D
Mostly I do just 3 or 4 things at a time, I don't really mind it but that doesn't mean I do it often :D

Afternoon all :)
Hospital this morning (only local) so we stopped to buy treat cakes at the proper bakers :) I had a long Devonshire split and Bb still has a Belgian bun. He's going out for his eye test soon, he might have to take it with him ;) :D

Good luck for Mr Osc and continued good vibes for Saundra xx
Hope your neighbour's better meriad, and hope Ton has a better day

I don't have room upstairs really Di, and certainly nowhere to keep the board stashed away. There is only our bedroom and Mick's study on the first floor and then B and H's up on the top. My board is kept out in the utility and I iron here in the living room, in front of the telly, when nobody else is around. I've been known to use the kitchen, if Mick and Becks are downstairs in the living room, but rarely ;) It would be nice to have a space to do it upstairs though, as it would save carting up and down ;)

The cakes sound scrummy :D

Saundra, fingers crossed for some positive news later XX

Osc, I hope E's ultrasound goes well xxxx

Hi Molly :D xx

Osc wrote:Morning all, another lovely day here. I have a few bits and pieces to do, then we will head off later for Mr Osc's cardiac ultrasound appointment which is at 2.30. Kaz I have tried ironing sitting down just can't do it! Once I start ironing, I do get into a zone, put on music, and like seeing the pile get smaller......it is the getting started that is the problem  Hope everyone has a good day :)

Snap Osc!! I jig about a bit too if the music is fast, I can't really watch telly at the same time  Di I also iron downstairs, I have to bring the laundry down to wash and dry, so it gets folded after drying (whether by line or tumbler) and left on a chair in the dining room, if it gets as high as the table I know I need to make a start!! LOL

It's a dry and fairly warm day today but the sun is hiding again....apparently we are to start our summer on Sunday :D :D :D :D

I've been to town, spent well over an hour in the EE shop, at least THIS time we might get somewhere!! My stress levels are through the roof with it all, my BP will never come down at this rate!!

Happy birthday Craig - I know when I tell people Jen is 27 I have to stop myself and remind myself just how big a number that is

Have a good rest of Friday xx

My Chris turned 38 last month, and I noticed last weekend that he's starting to get a bit of grey, in his hair and beard

I hope the EE thing is finally sorted Gal!!

Well that's why I said it depends on the house
I don't have a utility or separate dining room, and nowhere to keep an ironing board downstairs.

Gal it's your ability to deal with stress, and what you perceive as stress, that needs sorting out.
The EE saga would indeed be trying for anyone, but it's not heart attack material.
Tbh most of the things you post about and say are stressing you are just life. Stress can and does happen but if it's a permanent state, then you're not recognising and reacting to what's perfectly normal/minor irritation and what's genuinely difficult.
Yoga, meditation, counselling? I don't know what the answer is, but it's your health and more pills aren't going to help the cause x

Maybe not, but given my very high BP readings, possibly stroke material. I don't think anyone can judge anyone else on what constitutes stress, quite frankly - stress is stress no matter what the circumstances. I find your comments very patronising and rather upsetting Di.

Thank you Kaz x

*sigh* No Gal, it's not patronising.
It's a genuine observation that if you don't try and do something to address your constant stress and anxiety (even ignoring the EE saga) then your health is going to suffer.
