Good Morning Saturday

Postby tonicha » 28 May 2016, 05:57

Morning everyone

We had some rain  during the night and thunderstorms are forecast for today  :? But at least it's warm ;)

Just been down to open the gates, accompanied by teo of next doors dogs, who barked at me all the way and all the way up   You'd think, by now, they«d be used to us - but obviously not

Bit of tele watching this morning, then probably sit in the battery house again, if I can't find somewhere else quiet to sit

Bread collection at the bar later ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever the weather xx

Morning Ton and everyone. :D

Blimey Ton..you're having the oddest weather. :o

I'm off up Monte Palomas with David today - we're aiming for the wolf trail and the statue again as the last time they were shooting wild boar and we were forbidden to go near it in case we got shot!

I'll have to slather the factor on as it's blummin hot. 8-) 8-)

When I get home and showered we're going to the Medieval Fair for a good mooch round; there are loads of stalls selling lovely things. We had a quick look see last night and it felt like all of our town was there. :D :D

It'll be even more bonkers tonight as it's the footy final between the two Madrid sides - the bars in the plaza set up big screens outside, it's always busy there anyway as the Spanish love eating and drinking outside but with the fair as well it'll be madder than ever.

We'll watch the game in Paco's as usual. :D :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

We are indeed :? :? All the farmers are having head fits, as they're gathering in the hay etc and if it's wet, then it can't be used. Jose said it's the worst weather for many many years.

We'll be watching the footie at home - enjoy your yomp :D :D :D

Morning all :D

It's still a bit dull outside, but the forecast says no rain so hopefully it will brighten up as the day goes on.

We were woken up spot on 7 as usual, very predictable these boys  Z&M posted a photo on Fb saying they'd had a lovely walk along the clifftop and showing the view from their bedroom window so sounds as though the hotel's a success. We're expecting them back around lunch time, think we're all going out to eat somewhere and then they'll all be back off home. M's got holiday time off this week so after today we won't be having the boys this half term. Much as we love having them here, it will be nice to have the rest of the bank holiday to ourselves before the builders descend again on Tuesday.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :)

Ally, your day sounds so busy, but really fun, so enjoy it all :D Looking forward to seeing some pics later :D 8-)

Ton, I've been in Portugal in May and it was totally roasting and so dry :O No wonder the farmers are upset!

Jen, I'm glad Z and her hubby had a nice time, and that you will get some quiet time before the builders get back ;)

Well we are having a lazy start here :D Chris isn't due until about 12ish, then we'll take him out for something to eat 8-) We'll see what he wants to do for the rest of the day and play it by ear :)

Have a good Saturday everyone :) xxxx

Morning everyone. A very early start for me today - set the alarm for 5am. Got home last night and pootled about and as I was doing my usual check of the house before going to bed I was wondering why the cats were behaving a bit oddly in the lounge. Usually a sign that there's a mouse somewhere, but after some searching I found a juvenile starling huddled in the corner. Clever bird had tucked head under wing and was keeping super still and quiet so the cats didn't notice it... I managed to nab it but it was too late to put it back outside so I put it in a cat carrier for the night and in the bathroom with the door closed. Got up at 5am when it was light and the birds all super active and let the little one go - he quickly flew off which was lovely to see.

Then back to bed for a bit and then up so I could sort out the neighbours cats - it just takes time to do her lot; no quick in and out.

Ally, enjoy your day and the evening at the festival and also the footie tonight
Ton, hope you find somewhere quiet for the day; if not then I'd do that bread collection sooner rather than later
Saundra, enjoy your pootling about in the garden, hope the weather stays dry for you
Kaz, enjoy the day with Chris; hope he has a comfy drive up x
Jen, enjoy the few days of peace and quiet once the boys are gone - definitely make the most of them :)

Well I'm heading out later today; Thomas is having his birthday party today so I'm heading over there to help out. Doing a bit of food shopping as well but that's about it. Then nothing else really planned for the weekend - bliss :D

have a lovely day everyone x

Hi all, still having a nightmare with EE, I think the best solution would be for me to leave them and look for another provider, I'm clearly not going to get this sorted out any other way!! Been to work this morning, was busy but manageable....the last man came in and was there aaaaaaaaaages, didn't leave the shop till almost 1 (we are closed as of 12.30 on Saturdays) and then I had to cash up etc, but M (boss) was there also and was more than helpful so that wasn't too bad.

Tom has gone in search of a caravan to buy in Northumberland....I won't get excited about it until I know we have it. This is the second time he has gone up in as many days....he's not back yet but shouldn't be long. He'll be at the farm after a break tomorrow (his foot is still healing) and we wanted to go out somewhere on Monday, but it sounds like he has been going from place to place this morning so not an easy day.

Jen is off on her jollies on Tuesday, she is working today and then straight to Kyle's afterwards till work tomorrow. Peaceful evening for Tom and I 8-)

Kaz have a lovely time with your C, hope he managed the long drive ok, quite a daunting prospect but I'm sure he's not as silly as me in that respect

Ally your days are always so full - hope you have a fabbie day today!!

Meri you sound like me, I love pottering round on my own....it's so quiet and still here, my biggest problem is do I take my Kindle into the conservatory to read or play on here for a bit :)

Weather is dry and bright, not sunny as such but at least it isn't that horrid grey anymore :D :D

Have a great Saturday all xxxxxxx

Good afternoon all.

It's quite a summer's day here, although the wind's a bit cool.
Been for the weekly shop at Aldi this morning.
This afternoon I'll be planting out a few bedding plants we bought there.

Hope you are all having a lovely day.
