:o  Gosh Jen..they sound rather unpleasant people.

Yes of course, noise and mess can be a pain. But really. It's not for long, is it?

Image to them.

Jen they really sound horrid... but then I think some people just aren't happy unless they complain about anything and everything.

Morning everyone

Hot :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Jen, they sound as if they're just people who complain about anything and everything - very difficult to have them next door. We had some very difficult neighbours back in England and now we have Dangerous Brian and his flying ducks

Been into Ourique for a few bits and had a chat with Sonia and Alex.

back to be told the Camera (town hall) had been up to check the pool was where is should be and that it's being done properly. :D

Off to do some bramble cutting back - will make sure I've put more sun-cream on.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hi all - sorry not been about much this week - it's been a topsy turvy week as I have worked different days and am all off kilter.

I didn't get in from work till well after 6 last night and was absolutely shattered and emotionally drained....not cos I was busy but I'd done a sale with cash and when I came to cash up at the end of business, said cash had disappeared! Anna (optom) stayed back to help me look for it and keep me calm as I was getting into a right state...in the end I phoned boss and explained about this cash, quite a substantial amount as it happens. Anna and I had backtracked thorughout the day and tried to sort out who had been in, could anyone have taken it, maybe the lady had inadvertently taken back the cash with her change (I did phone her to ask but she hadn't) Once boss arrived about 6 I was almost teary.....he dismantled the cash drawer and hey presto, there was the money!! Gosh I was so relieved I started to cry  - got a cuddle from boss who said he'd thought it might have got dragged under the drawer if the notes hadn't been secured with the spring flap.....so when I DID get home I had a long bath and a glass of wine o try and recover my composure!!

Today I have been to the GP and my BP is still up (could feel it last night) so I have to phone this afternoon and see if I have to increase the dose of my meds :( After docs, I went to Asda and this afternoon I am going to my old mate Gary's funeral....can't believe I'm even typing those words....so it's gonna be a tough old day....

On top of which Tom has been to the hospital this morning to have his plantar sorted out - he's been given a steroid injection and has to not weight bear for a minimun of two days - he has next week off work but they said it was up to him how long he stayed off. I reckon he will go back on Monday!!

Have a good Friday everyone xxx

Jen your neighbours do sound horrid, and the complaining type :( We have been so very lucky here with our neighbours, almost four years of harmony, until the new ones over the back moaned about the dogs

Have a nice meal out Osc :)

Saundra he had a fantastic time in Scotland, thanks, rock climbing and abseiling and all sorts :D  I have stocked up :D

Thanks - me too!!!!

It was a very bittersweet afternoon at the funeral. The service was a humanist one, Gary not being the religious type....more a celebration of his life. The humanist lady spoke about his life, as a little lad playing with his brother and getting up to mischief, through to his meeting Kim his wife and marrying her....it lasted about half an hour or so and they played three songs - Queen's Who Wants to Live Forever, Tonight Tonight by the Smashing Pumpkins (which was a very special song for Gary and Kim) and to leave, Elbow's One Day Like This. All so poignant....what was nice was meeting up with everyone from the old days....some of us exchanged numbers and hopefully we will stay in touch....I saw cousins I haven't seen in years and caught up with them.....as well as my old pal Janice who I met and spent hours chatting to, she only lives ten minutes away so we hope to catch up properly more often.

I didn't get home till almost 7, the funeral started at 2.30!
