Morning all, it is dry at the moment, but rain is forecast for the afternoon. Dropping a bag of clothes to Oxfam this morning, and back to do some baking and other bits. Out this evening for a meal with some friends, hope the expected rain has stopped by then as we want to go by train rather than bring the car. Hope everyone has a lovely Friday :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny at the moment.

More building going on here. It's been quite peaceful this week as our 'attached' neighbours have been away and Terry has been able to get on with the wall between us without any hassle. To say they've been really difficult and unpleasant is an understatement. I do understand the noise etc is an inconvenience for them, but we've all bent over backwards to understand their feelings and keep them happy. Everything we're doing comes under permitted development, building regulation permission was granted and the inspector has been out a couple of times and is very happy with how it's being done. Unfortunately that hasn't stopped them from being very vocal in their opposition, basically they didn't want us to do anything. They even had a go at the inspector which I might add didn't go down well at all, I won't repeat what she said about them afterwards  I know we're not obliged to listen, but it's very difficult when they can shout over the gap and of course we'd prefer not to fall out with them, biting my tongue is difficult. They're due back tomorrow and the wall between us will be finished thank goodness, not that I think it will stop them complaining, but at least we won't have to see them every time we step outside the back. It's not as though we're doing something unusual, a lot of the houses in the street have extensions, some very recently, and everyone else in the road has been lovely. Our neighbour on the other side insisted we use her driveway to park our car, she lives alone and says it's nice to have a car outside, makes her feel more secure.

Off out to town shortly, need to stock up on fruit and veggies for the weekend.

Hope you all have a good day :D
