Good Tuesday Morning

Postby Weka » 12 Feb 2013, 07:21

First day of kindy, and both little nixons enjoyed themselves. Oliver fell asleep on the story tonight. We've almost finished the enchanted wood by Enid blyton. Only about 6 or so chapters left.

Another gorgeous day here, wall to wall blue. I'm hoping I will stay that way till after the weekend as we are off for our annual playcentre camp to kawau island. Better start the packing!

Morning all. I was up bright and early this morning to start feeding Millie as I am not sure if I will get home at lunchtime today so need to get 3/4 tin of food down her before I leave - not as easy as it sounds when I am feeding her a teaspoon at a time!

A nice easy morning for me - I have to drive out to one of our schemes to meet a new tenant (who doesn't sign until next week) to open the door so she can get some furniture in (no idea why she is being allowed to move it in early) so I will sit in the car all morning knitting and listening to my audio book. No idea what time I will get back and then onto a governors meeting this afternoon.

Bath and early night tonight I think.

Morning all :)
Dull and cold here. Weka are you sure it's a year since you last went on that trip?!
Debih enjoy your lazy morning. Ally you always seem to be doing a dozen jobs while I do one(ish) :D

Bb's not working till later so I shall be out and about for a while, I'm not getting out much because of Minnie.
Hope everyone has a good day - and don't forget it's Pancake Day :)

Morning everyone - Di enjoy getting out and about :) Is it dry there? We have frost but I don't mind as it means we don't have rain, just for a change 8-) :D

Bit of a problem yesterday using the steamer, being hand-held it's too heavy for my neck and shoulders to cope after a few minutes any more, it seems.........I struggled yesterday with it and gave up, so Mick is nominated as steamer-in-chief now and gets the job of finishing it  :?

The absence of rain means a nice long walk to town later, will be good to stretch my legs 8-) Becky has her typhoid and Hep A jabs later, for her Borneo trip, and is a bit nervous as Mick mentioned he felt ill after his (  ) but she is a strong healthy girl so I'm sure she'll be fine. That reminds me we'll have to get her malaria tablets in plenty of time as they have to be started a fortnight before she leaves, which is the 6th April :) I bought her some flight socks, a money belt you wear next to your body, a battery operated phone charger and some luminous luggage tags yesterday.......not that I'm being a fussing old mum you understand.......

Have a good day everyone xxxxxx

Yes it's dry Kaz, hooray!

That's the sort of thing I can't do Kaz, it's a nightmare as so many jobs use your arms, it's anything with weight or pressure, but especially when I have to lift my arms upwards.
I do remember the typhoid jab being a bit nasty afterwards, just tell her it's better than getting typhoid, it's a necessary bit of suffering ;)

:? Yes, it seems ever since the last time my neck was very bad, last year, I can't do anything like that any more  The physio has stopped the constant pain and stiffness to a huge extent but jobs like using the steamer seem to have gone the way of using the old heavy hoover on the stairs, or carrying shopping...................Hence the new lightweight Dyson and the shopping trolley :?  It's a nuisance isn't it?

We've told her that Di, about typhoid, but she's never been brilliant with needles  She'll be fine, her enthusiasm for this trip is driving her on ;)

Morning all. How exciting for B. What an adventure she will have :D
Nothing special today, but tango tonight. I will be wearing some special ear plugs, to see if that will help me hear the music better by cutting down on the background noise...keep your fingers crossed.
Hope Osc is feeling better and continued vibes for Minnie and Millie.
Have a good day everyone x
