OMG Osc what a frightening time for you both!! I hope E is well on the way to recovery now, being home has healing qualities in itself xxx
In regard to ambulance times, MM is right. A 999 call doesn't necessarily mean emergency, they prioritise your complaint and send out an ambulance when they can. My sister and BIL waited from noon until turned 7pm for the ambulance to arrive when he had bad leg pain and the GP organised the ambulance, they thought it might be DVT but if it had been (it wasn't) he could've been dead before the ambulance got there! Then another 3 hour wait to have his handover....sis finally got home shortly after 1am.
