Oh gosh! Hope E is ok. An hour and a half for an ambulance?? Seriously??? A taxi would have been quicker. Wow. I'm pleased it didn't keep you waiting any longer.
Certainly not what you want, especially while abroad. I hope the journey home was peaceful and uneventful
Kaz its not London, its what they decide is urgent when you ring. My friends mum, the one who sadly died and left me the cat laid on her kitchen floor with a broken hip for over 3 hours. Because they didn't deem it urgent she had to wait. We all wonder whether laying on a cold floor contributed to the pneumonia that ultimately killed her
That's awful Shell and I'm so sorry It is well known however that getting an ambulance in Central London can take ages Link here They are pretty good around here.
Sorry Osc, for hijacking the thread Hope E is feeling a bit better this evening xxx
No problem, Kaz, it is interesting reading. I called 999 from the train, then the lovely guy in the station rang again about 45 minutes after that and was told that a more serious call had come in and our ambulance was redirected to that one so that is why we had to wait so long. Mr Osc was heard to mutter from the depths of the plastic bag he was holding in case of vomiting "should have told lies"
