Men always used to be Guys. and women were Dolls.

But now is seems that Guys stands for either sex. I don't know how these changes come about - but you
don't have to adopt them if you don't want to. I don't.

And I don't ever call children "kids", which really means young goats. (but I'm a pedant. :lol: )

We use guys for both. The "lower classes" here use bro for both. The more intelligent here use lady, "she's such a wonderful lady" we don't really use gals mostly guys. If I'm addressing all girls/lady's and they are my friends I'll say "hey guys"
