It is huge Ton.

When we were house hunting my only absolute stipulation was it had to have a decent sized pool.

Don...who is the most mild mannered bloke on the planet...was ready to throttle me as I poo poohed house after house unless it was perfect with the perfect pool.

When Don clocked the pool at this place he knew without doubt this was going to be our new home.

And another one knowing the meaning of skint here .... we've just had a full internal repaint, excellent job, but with all the other little bits and bobs of work he found to do (all necesssary, I hasten to add), the final bill was 30% over budget. :o :|

But your pool sounds brilliant, Ton - but who are the bombeiros, the local Fire Brigade?

I'm always skint....

But seriously - so pleased for you Ton and you'll be so happy when it's all done and you can enjoy the pool. Who needs money when you have your own holiday destination right on your door step? x

Ossie, are you pleased with the outcome of the decorations?

Yes Os, our fire brigade, who are, mostly, volunteers

We all help in any way we can, funding wise. A lot of the English here (us included now) pay them 20 euros a year, as a donation, and also to register where we are, as we're quite remote. It'll help them find us, hopefully

They also run an emergency ambulance, in case the INEM (hospital one) is busy.

Quite right Ria :D :D

Even Grumpy hasn't moaned about the cost of it all - apart from the normal "well, you would choose one of the most expensive worktop and splash back" :cute: :cute: :cute:

We're still skint from our blast of renos 3 years ago (deck, 2x bathrooms, insulation, roof repairs, drainage, solar panels ). And my itchy fingers just want to start peeling wallpaper in the den and playroom......

Anyhow.....

Your pool sounds lovely, I'd love to try for a swim one day
