Not sure if I missed it but did Millie have to have another dilation on Friday?

No she didn't in the end - she is having it tomorrow instead.

She spent the day at the vets on Thursday as I was on the adoption panel all day so the vet kindly said that they would have her in to feed her and as Dan was at that surgery all day he was able to spend some time and watch her! They tried to feed her on non watered down food - which didn't go particularly well as she was sick. She still regurgitates if it is too thick or if she gulps it too fast (in fact, she has done so tonight).

We are still feeding her quite thin food and still have to hold the bowl as we need to take it away from her every few mouthfuls to let the food go down. She obviously finds it quite a stressful process as her little tail is always well between her legs when she is eating - but it is working. The majority of the food stays down and when we weighed her today she as 12.2 kilos. Just another 5 kilos to go.

Dan should be able to get a better idea of how many more times he wants to do the process tomorrow - he is hoping that it will be the last.

He has also sent the claim off to the insurance with a covering letter to say that he feels that the leg and the stricture should be treated as two separate claims as they are very different problems. We shall have to wait and see.

In herself she is fine, although her leg must have been hurting her a little today as she hasn't been putting weight on it too much. But she has been playing and has been for a couple of walks today. She also cried again when Mick touched her ear (she does it every now and again) so I am going to ask Dan if he can have a look at it tomorrow whilst she is under anaesthetic.

But we do feel that we are getting there now. Hopefully we will eventually get her to the point where she can eat relatively normally but if not, although it is a pain to feed her this way we do feel that it is achievable in the long term. Dan is pretty confident that she will be able to eat independently and wants us to give her thicker food to help the stricture stay open, rather than lots more operations.

I am just hoping that I can get her there tomorrow as the snow is coming thick and fast now - but I took the car down. But if not, I don't think leaving it until Tuesday will do any harm.
