The A Word

Anyone watch this last night on BBC1.

I really enjoyed it...I love anything with Christopher Eccleston but also thought the mum was a great actress and the little boy was also excellent.

I didn't watch, largely due to my brother's condition, but maybe I should have. See my thread on Employable Me as to why.

Just caught up on it last night - loved it, where do they get such great child actors.

They put this on in the huge gap left by Happy Valley....I was glad it had Christopher Eccleston in it so we watched and I really enjoyed it. The Lakes as a backdrop and what a talented little lad!

Great stuff!

I felt a bit reluctant before I watched the first episode, but having watched that I was hooked. It really is superb.

I have no experience of a child with Joe's problems, but does anyone think his parents indulge him rather too much?

Last night's episode was fab!

Every actor is playing a blinding role...Alison (the mum) in particular is superb.

Also need to mention Joe... and Christopher Eccleston is just a delight. :D :D :D

Totally agree, even if I would like to give the mother a good "cop on to yourself" shake! Christopher Eccleston is fantastic and Joe is just amazing. In fact the whole cast is excellent.
