Sat down Sunday morning ready to copy last year's details and difference in pensions -WRONG!!!
They have only changed layout of pages and extra ones

so off to DRAF(tax office) this morning ,saw the guy that speaks English,he filled them out for us BUT " your pension ,is it social security or public worker or private employer"
Do you want to fill these out as married or two separate?

So he fills in pension amounts on our respective forms but with mine , how is it made up ? private & social security. You have to put in the total but also how it is made up.After reading the instructions for 10 min he said but there is not a space to put the 2 figures !!

You do not have to sign this page, however the following 2 pages are to do with Capital gains which do not apply to us but we both have to sign these pages to testify they are true ???? even he laughed at this.
He then said that we can't bring them in until the 1st April but don't come as it will be chaos,i said well i'll have to as we are flying that night,he said -post them to Santa Cruz recorded delivery with copies of Fiscal cards.
Oh the joys of it all !!

Bem Vindo Portugal

Complete nightmare for paperwork, go to one town hall, do this. Go to another one, noooo, do that

Trying to change our driving licences - used to be able to go to a local driving school and they could do it for you (for a fee ;) ) Now? Beja   And will take a day, by the time you've taken your ticket, wait, queue up, been told you have the wrong paperwork, come back. Go back and they still don't like the paperwork.

Not looking forward to it 8-)

Hope you get it sorted Vic x

we used to have some friends here (since gone back) that used to do that when they went to see the Dr.!!!
