Di, that's an excellent idea, about the buffet :idea: 8-) 8-) Not exactly the same, but when my MIL came for Christmas she made and bought with her the sausage rolls, and a huge bowl of delicious fruit salad :D 8-) It takes off a lot of the pressure on the hosts :)

We call it "bring a plate" and it's very common practice here.

As for a present? Sorry, no ideas.

Another idea is to buy one of those very special boxes that wedding and similar shops sell. They can keep all their cards and momentos of the day in it.

Gal, how many photo's do you have of them, separately and together? What about a commemorative printed album to celebrate their lives together? you know one of those where you upload a whole lot of photo's and then have then put into a book?

Something they could always look at when they want to?

My parents loved their rose too Osc, and now my sister has it in a pot in her garden with little phials of their ashes in it :) xxxx

that is lovely Kaz. I like the idea of a rose as well - any plant in fact; not fussy :D
