Good Morning Saturday

Postby Weka » 25 Mar 2016, 20:20

I feels sunny outside but I have to admit I haven't looked.

I need to do some DIY on the chicken coop today, as it got broken in a storm we had earlier in the week.

G wants to put a swingset together that a friend who is moving has given us, but it needs new bolts.

The lawns need a mow, no doubt the kids will be in and out of the pool all day again, and I'd like to get a few vege beds ready for the winter.

Better get moving, that's quite a list.

Have a good day all

Never mind coming on here and confusing us with Good Morning Saturday when its only Friday!!! :P :P :P

Now get to work. The winter duvet needs airing, turn the mattress and dig out the electric blanket - give it a good check before turning it on. You'll need to get in rock salt for the paths, de-icer for the windscreen washers and radiators. Then you will need to dig out bobble hats, scarves and gloves - you might have had five pairs last winter but the betting is you will only find three plus two odd ones, both for the same hand!

Have a nice day. ;)

Morning all and evening Weka; hope you got done what you wanted to do

Saundra, happy anniversary for today; just because you're on your own doesn't mean you can't celebrate x Hope you've got a lovely treat for yourself
Ally enjoy the birthday BBQ and have a drink for my brother Karl whilst there - it's his birthday today as well. But they're all in SA so celebrating with Nadine's family and no doubt having a lovely BBQ (or braai) as well.

The weather here is so different to yesterday; grey miserable and nippy wind. They're expecting rain a bit later today so I'm contemplating doing the last of the shredding but not sure I have the energy or inclination. Waiting for someone to arrive to look at the metal shed I'm wanting to give away; he said he'd be here between 7.30 and 8am. Then i'll get myself ready for the day and probably head out to a garden centre in the afternoon; given the weather there isn't much else to do really and I'm now bored of being home alone so need to get out a bit.

Have a lovely day all, whatever it is you're up to x

Nice try

I threw out the winter duvet 6 years ago, too hot, likewise the electric blanket.
I haven't used gloves, scarves nor overcoat since I left London.
Have I ever mentioned that it doesn't snow in Auckland?
